Have to disagree, as far as 'purist' xenomorph design goes it's second only to Gigers original, the AvP comes in a close third followed by Alien R... ALIENS was an OK movie, but that ridged head was a product of necessatity... sadly not so much design, as for AvP:R... well...lets not get into that...reduced the ALIEN to a supporting joke!

The dog alien is honestly my favorite design. I like certain things about all of them but the dog stepped away from the "bug" design I felt dominated the design for "Aliens". Just looks menacing and I liked the streamlined design of it.

Watched the Alien 3 special edition again last night - I think its brilliant. I know it probably brings back bad memories for david fincher but I wonder does he really hate the film. For me Alien 3 was the last good treatment of the Alien universe. Nothing since is real canon as far as I'm concerned.

The figure though isn't impressing me. I'm getting it still in the hopes that there'll be changes but from what we've seen but I think it lacks a resemblance to the film version. The face looks wrong, I don't like the forward pointing teeth, the tails too short and I'm not fond of the feet which look like hooves.

I love the alien series but now your comparing aliens to alien ressurection.
I have nothing against ressurection but ...jesus , I find it hard to belive someone could like it more ( I presume thats what you mean )

More stylised and creative maybe but better ?.
Then agan I know alot of people arn't the biggest fans of aliens where as I love it.

Aliens is fan^^^^ingtastic and one of the best movies ever...but this is also true. Aliens is the least stylized out of the 4.

Yep , its a fantastic movie imo. I don't think because its not stylised and creative makes it crap. I love all the others but I am glad aliens took the plunge into the shooter genre. If it didn't everyone would of always thought " what if ? ".
