They need to do that and change their creature-sculptor. Ideally to someone who knows that these things have 'likenesses' too. If its off, its off, just like a human face.

my dogs mouth tore so i ripped all the rubber face off down to the shoulders and im going to sculpt a new better looking head

I used mod podge gloss to restore it's sliminess.

Yeah, and it really looks good in person. It brought out more of the details because of the shine. I'm going to try to restore the other HT aliens I still have.

I have the Dog Alien (great figure) and I would like to do the same.

I'm thinking of buying the alien warrior? can grab it for just over $100. still has box. I'm aware of all the issues, but i didn't start collecting till last year and just think having atleast 1-2 figs from the line would be great ?

Well, that's a pretty good price I guess.
Still, the figure looks nothing like any alien in any movie, it's just Joseph Tsang's idea of an alien.
Be prepared to fix the knees, though.

If you just want a 1/6 alien to display, I'd recommend looking for the AvP or AvP-R aliens, those are much sturdier, and the deviations from the movie designs really aren't that obvious.

That's really cheap. Of the AVP and AVP-R alien, I like the AVP-R version better but my AVP ones are much sturdier. I don't know about others..

if you're into this line. have a glossy mod podge to bring back its slimy luster.

only kept my doggies. still have 2, and wont mind getting another one.lolz

I've purchased the warrior for $125 including shipping.
and i found a seller who sold me his AVP alien for $150.. no broken joints yet or rubber deterioration.. so I'm thinking thats a good price
