I do nt know about the rest of you but for me this is right up there with anything that appeared at Toyfair.Absolutely superb.I ve always loved figures in spacesuits and own loads from Mattels Major Matt Mason onwards. These look so well done.
God bless Howard Chan and the creative genii behind Hot Toys!!

Hopefully they get real heads. It looks kinds weird with those blank heads.

Those aren't blank heads. They were wearing those caps in the movie underneath the helmet.

I would assume hot toys would not just give us blank heads seeing as it looks like you can remove the helmets.

I just want accurate headsculpts...or at least semi-accurate.

Someone over at the ToyWorld forum says they'll be released early June. There's still some time for me to save up my pennies.

Here's pics and info for those that don't want to click on the links...

Kane with "Facehugged" head

^ see? not blank heads, but why dosn't HT want to show us the head sculpts?!?!

Well, the only one we know for sure isn't blank is the facehuggered Kane. But I still can't imagine HT giving us blank heads. Especially considering the sculpt work they've done lately.

I also like that their heights are different. Dallas being a little taller than Kane.

I want to see Dallas' HS first, always wanted a flight suit Dallas but that Kane is mine for sure, that thing will sell out in no time.

Ripley is gonna be nuts!

I'm sure they'll have completed face sculpts... but one question. By PVC space suit does that mean the whole thing is plastic, and not very poseable? If that's the case I'm really not as impressed as I was when I thought they'd be actual suits and not fully sculpted.

But on the plus side the Kane facehugger sculpt is awesome looking!

Looks like PVC armor over cloth in one shot but in others looks all PVC, check out the sleeve ends.... the HS and cap looks to be completely sculpted though.

Okay, I was worried for a moment... in looking at the images you can see that the arms are bent different ways depending on the shot. I would be seriously let down if they were sculpted plastic with basic cut joints.

Actually now that I look at them more :)monkey3) I think that the suits are sculpted, but in a rubber material... notice pockets are kind of shiny. Kind of like the skin on the Aliens. Probably a good idea, I can't imagine how insane it would be to mass produce that outfit in fabric.

The detailed info I posted earlier has them described as "pvc spacesuits".

So, I don't think you're going to be able to take them off or get a huge range of motion out of them.

If you look at the shoulders, you can see cut joints.
And the crotch area looks like cut joints as well.

What confused me is I always assume PVC to be rigid, I guess that's not always the case since these do appear to have some poseability. My guess is we'll end up with about the same (or a bit less) range as the actors in the suits.

How can you guys tell if the suits are rubber or fabric? I can't! :google

Either way, it's not like I'm gonna be doing crazy martial arts poses, so if they turn out to be fully sculpted suits, fine by me. I'm still astounded by the incredible quality that went into conceptualizing these products. I cannot imagine this being done by any other 1/6 scale company at the moment (well, except ONE).

You earn my money once again, Hot Toys.

Well, these are totally insane and I'm so in...

But I don't like the sculpted undersuit part. I wish it was material of some kind, not just for movement but for visual difference from the armor parts.

It says in the listing on HT site (reposted a few posts back) that its a PVC spacesuit. And in looking at the piece some parts of the suit look a bit shiny and others (like the texture) kind of looks like it has painted details.

But like you said, no martial arts poses are necessary so it should come out okay in the end.
