Well, I may not be shooting these guys at all. They look awesome, but there are way too many properties being produced right now that I like and I want a little from everything, and an ALIEN Ripley and Warrior are the must get figures from ALIEN for me, after that, it's whatever can work.

To give you an idea of what I'm juggling, these are the properties in production that I'm collecting right now.

Rocky
Batman
ALIEN Franchise
Predator Franchise
AVP Franchise
Star Wars
Lord of the Rings
Indiana Jones
Jurassic Park

Can't afford everything in all of those, but each has truly desirable pieces in it. Like I said, Kane and Dallas are cool, but Ripley and the Alien are the musts from that line and if Kane and Dallas can't squeeze into the budget, I'll do what I have to.

My primary collecting is the Sideshow 1/6 Star Wars line, I've gotten everything from that to date, but they've also been the most inexpensive pieces to date. Now that costs are going up, even that will likely turn selective for me. I couldn't devote myself to just one line, there are too many cool things being made for properties I could only dream of having collectibles from. Again though, there are plenty of highlight items in the various areas that fulfill my collection for me. I like Hot Toys Rocky line, but I only have the first Rocky Balboa right now and that's enough for me. I like ALIEN and these new figures are unquestionably cool, but as an ALIEN collector, I'll only feel my collection is incomplete without a Ripley and the Alien, it'd be great to have Kane and Dallas, but if I can't I'll survive. Dallas would be passed first and then Kane if need be, but having the facehugger sculpt and BD mask is a great touch.

I'm not a completist, so I don't worry too much about missing out on some figures. I only get what I really think looks nice or is a "must have" for me.
I collect SST's SW and LOTR, HT's Alien and Predator figures (from all the movies) and that's about it.
Even so, it is a stretch for my budget.

I just wish I knew what HT's plan was. It seems a little strange to me that they're releasing 2 suited figures at once.

Yeah, I want them all, but that's just the OCD part of my head. I really want to know whether HT is gonna do the whole line or just a few or even multiples of each? That would help me blow my paychecks a little smarter!

Well... Just for certain movies!
I still won't get the spacesuited Dallas. I just want him in his inside uni. I am worried by these shots of the figures though, NO HEADSHOTS...I mean, you'd think....

Ya, since Kane has 2 heads and 2 helmets, at least he could be shown without his helmet.

That's the one concern I have with these figures, likeness rights. HT's gotten so good with the quality of their human portraits both in likeness and the skin texture, I'd hate to see the portraits on this line go old school because of the license stipulations. Granted repaints revealed the marines' sculpts to be their actors, they still weren't as good as what HT does now. Ripley, with a solid repaint, looks more like Ripley, but still not quite, not as good as the sculptors doing Rambo and Pirates could get her. I hope this goes well for us.

I rather like the suits. The characters seem to generic not to have some other kind of appeal IMO.

HT will most likely recycle the suits for Ripley and Lambert.
Hopefully they'll add a Jonesy in carrying case to the lineup somewhere.

As for the rest of the crew.... I'll pass if they don't come with some sort of exclusive trinket.

The ALIEN itself is a must have.

although i'm not a completist per say, it would be nice to have the entire crew of the Nostromo. As a result, i'm going to wait to see if jumpsuit versions will be released.

the space suit versions are GORGEOUS, but i am going to have to pass on them.

and my wallet is so happy with me right now that I think i'm about to get lucky...

No problem, just curious now with all the excitement about the ALIEN figures.

Yeah, we'll probably wind up getting them all.
It's a good thing that the Xenomorph saga takes priority in our collecting habits.

I don't know how you all manage to spread yourselves so thin, and yet keep up with all of the new stuff.

I'd like to have them by 26-27 at the latest, but only because I'm into sports and I want to be young enough when they get older to shoot hoops with them and stuff, provided I have a son(s).
