Hot Toys Announce Batman Returns License

Painting over the poster posted in this thread ... it'll take me a lot of time and patience because I want the colors accurate but since the poster wasn't scanned, I also have to make some color corrections.

I swear it'll look good once I'm done... I don't know how big everyone wants it, so I'm doing it as big as my PC will allow.

I may make more if all of you want them, backgrounds for our figures etc etc, like the one that came with Hot Toys Sweeney Todd.

I was searching through Batman Returns stuff in anticipation for these figures and man, the marketing art was/is some of the best I've seen. I remember the graphic images all over the place in '92 and it looks like I found the artist's name, Jose Luis Garcia Lopez. This art was on everything from puzzles, games, to promotional items if I recall correctly. Wish I could find some hi-res stuff. It sure brings back memories.

I'm more inclined to reserve my enthusiasm for after I've watched the new film to decide whether I'd like an AH Catwoman. She's attractive - no doubt, but I'd like to see her in the suit in action, in context, first.

Michelle's a no brainer though!!

this is exactly what i cant stand about the "fans" of the new movies. they think nolan is Gods greatest gift to mankind or something. just weirdo's. im glad im just into the older movies.

I think you're talking to the wrong people. Nolan's very gifted, but he's not a god. If anything the god thing is more of joke among fans.

That may not look like a big difference on first glance but in fact it is going to be quite a major difference when blown up to full res.

• Tim Burton
• Christopher Nolan
• Peter Jackson

I love them all and it's not a contest.

Just watched the film.

Still my favourite of all the Batman films, i'll get Batman and Catwoman and be interested to see what they do with Penguin, i just don't think he can be done well as a figure (body and possibility wise)

This announcement is quite bittersweet for me actually. I'm stoked & absolutely excited that HT is making our dreams come true with this great film, but I always thought that I'd have time to wait for the grails.. because surely they weren't ALL going to get made at once???

I'm pretty focused, but HT have got just about all the quality classic licenses now, & when it rains.. it pours.

I feel the exact same way. I've decided to skip '89 Batman and get the Returns version since I've always liked that suit more. I cannot pass on the Joker though! Also can't wait to see Catwoman and Penguin!
