Finally opened this last night. This fig is a level above. Just absolutely outstanding. I thought that the joints would be a distraction but they really aren't. If anything somehow the product photos over emphasize them. I hope they do a regular Na'vi Jake without the warpaint and a change-o head (mohawk and reg hair), but first and foremost a Neytiri has absolutely got to be done (hopefully announced at Comic Con). And a Miles Quaritch with AMP.

You know, as cool as the AMP suit would be (and believe me I would rather see that than TDKR "The Bat") I would rather see a CONFIRMED PRODUCTION Neytiri and possible Quaritch than anything else. If they made this run just a two off set, Jake and Neytiri are the two to own.

Thanks guys i'm glad you like the shots of what I think will be "figure of the year" ! The only figure that I think will give it a run for it's money if it comes out as good as the promo pics is HT Iron Monger. But I'm rootin for Jake !!

In all honesty, I don't see Iron Monger being figure of the year. Over the last couple of years we have seen SOOOO many Iron Man figures of all types. Jake sully is something DRASTICALLY different than what we have been seeing from Hot Toys. Stripped down and raw, he doesn't come with much other than his rifle, knife and tribal digs; but what is there is hands down some of the BEST work I have seen from hot toys.

This piece shows how much time and dedication was put into the development of the body and attire. The only downfall was the box (which I will admit is rather flimsy compared to other releases) however the box is not a vital part of the piece.

Nice figure, definitely under scale though. Too bad about that.

And I'd like to know what type of materials were used for various pieces- the rubbery torso has me worried- I hope it's not a latex product that will deteriorate quickly, as latex does.

Also, I hope there are no reactions between the various plastic pieces on the arms and throat that might "melt", as sometimes happens with different types and plastics and rubber when left in contact with each other.
