Hot Toys Avatar is official (Movie spoilers)

I got Quaritch, the AMP suit, and Jake in the chair and his avatar forms.

Am I the only one getting those mattel toys? I know its made for the kiddies but some of them are pretty cool. I just bought some. All the pandora creatures, AMP suit, Scorpion Chopper and some few figures. Honestly, I thought the movie was going to be ghey but after watching it. Well you know my reaction after posting this. Can't wait to see how the Hot Toys figures looks.

I was tempted by the Movie Masters stuff but they only had Quaritch and Jake Sully at Target. Neytiri is apparently super rare, she is going for 70 bucks on eBay! I think I'll wait for the Hot Toys figures...

Yeah, movie's been out for all of 2 weeks and it's already "the greatest ever". Take a deep breath and have some perspective people.

Oh, now, now...just because it doesn't have the word "watch"...in the title...let other folk shave their fun! (just kiddin' w/ ya!)

The Mattel stuff is well-produced for mass-market toys (er, excuse me..."Authentic Movie Replicas"...is someone in marketing over there full of themselves or what?) ...but they're also pretty expensive!

I'd like to see HT produce a Jake/Avatar dressed in the yellow fatigues with all of the gear. It's a cool look for the character and it covers a lot of potential "exposed" joints that the less-clothed characters will have.

A figure of Quadritch is almost a given, I'd think...

Some of Mattel's toys impressed me too, but I figured as good as these are, why not wait a couple of months until the definitive Avatar figures are released?

Maybe I'm crazy, but I would actually consider getting a replica of the Avatar link-up bed (no idea what the proper name is).

It'd make a neat set. Perhaps HT will release a diorama? Seems like a pretty memorable set.

Huh... maybe they'll make the hometree. Or at least a section of it... that'd be cool. Have the spiral thingie.

I doubt it. SSC announced that they'll be producing Avatar dios so we probably won't see anything from HT. That's okay though, each company gets to play to their strengths. We should see some awesome collectibles.

just got back from seeing avatar again with my dad..In IMAX 3D..the movie is amazing..now that i have scene it so many times i really know it in my gut. This movie will stand the test of time. Its made 1 billion worldwide it 17 days..the imax theatre i went to was packed..Being an Avatar fan is going pretty good lol..With that said, Its getting real hard with no Avatar figures..we need word soon! I cant wait any longer!!

I can live without the aliens. But a must for Michelle Rodriguez with flight suit and pilot gear along with cool accessories like a pistol, aviators, shades, and pilot helmet too. But she must have the wife beater or white t-shirt; whatever she wears in the movie.

I know what you mean but im not gonna cave in and buy those horrible mattel figures, i want quality figures from a quality movie, This whole 3 inch phase in movie figs is annoying. I dont really care for movie masters either,but i will buy these hot toys figures,hot toys is probally working on them now as we speak.

with announcments of PFs and hot toys for the avatar characters, im thinking of sticking with one line. So im gonna go Hot Toys, likely cheaper at 1/6 instead of 1/4 so i can buy more. I want 5 characters:
Jake, Neytiri, Quaritch, Trudy Chacon (Michelle Rodriguez), and Tsu'Tey.

yeah i agree with you 100% man. I cracked down and got the mattel AMP suit and scorpian chopper. Pretty awesome for Mattel though, but i neeed Quality Stuff. I hope since Avatar has such a huge fan base they will really put alot of effort into them. Like they did with Dark Knight Liscense..Cant Wait!

Yea the way this movie is aweing people around the world , Hot toys would be stupid not to work on these figs asap.
