So mine came in - after how many years? and my short verdict is: (y)(y)(y)(y)(y)

A very, very good classic Avengers Loki. Being a costume junkie, was worried that the square stud edging along the robe and tunic would look cheap. It doesn't, far as I can tell some sort of metal plastic or paint was stamped/imbedded, so if I really nitpick it looks like tiny metal plates. Same with whatever detail used on the pants.

The number of seams, insets, and pleats is pretty mind boggling. No wonder the production on this was slow. As far as the sculpt and paint, I'm pretty happy. Like a lot of folks, in a perfect world guess I'd prefer a more lively expression (possibly difficult to achieve, but the Ragnarok Loki has the slightest smirk).

But it's fine. I would have preferred 2 sculpts etc, - but ANYWAY. No regrets on the purchase. My biggest nit is the paint - yeah, IMO, they should have had more of a bling paint job, like the staff is pretty shiny (for me the staff is wicked, all these years never noticed the extended blade(y)). Whether some dry brushing or buffing could be done, without ruining the figure to add some shine here and there - dunno. Not until I get a lot more experience.

And it would be no easy thing to get the costume off. A couple of out of the box cell pics. Oh, yeah, the plastic is still on the neck, am thinking of finding some dull clear plastic to wrap the neck, just in case, so leaving that for the moment. LOTS of pleather so this guy will be under glass (Unlike Mando who I don't worry about leaving out, or Boba, or Cap).

IMO a more than solid release, if you need a classic Loki.

PS. My fig was definitely new and pristine, from SSC, not a return, had the faint chemical smell, new tape, etc. 😁
Glad you like it. Its just the smiling sculpt away from being a must-have for me. I'm curious if the smiling loki head will work on this because then I would probably order both.

Yeah, I get that. Hiddleston if an awesome Loki, his face always seems full of life, and this fig is very statue-like/museum. For me that's OK, since I own the Ragnarok version with the slight smirk.

Thinking hard about another Loki tho, just 'coz I like the show. Am rewatching and IMO it's a well-crafted show, I like the characters.

Glad you like him, he does look stunning!

I was tempted to pick this figure up, but as you know I have the Ragnarok Loki which is very nice, but this looks like it may be the superior version of Loki.

How do you think this 2.0 compares to the Ragnarok Loki?

Sorry didn't see this post....that's a tough one.

For me - I'd say the sculpt is better here - BUT the Ragnarok Loki has the slightest smile - this Loki has a screen accurate grimness (depending on the scene). And the Ragnarok version is easier to pose up and work with.

If you can have only one figure, I'd say this one - but past the sculpt, I can't put one above the other. Ragnarok Loki has pretty elaborate tailoring and costume; you get accessories. I've decided to keep both as it will be a nice contrast - AND am picking up the show version. So I'll have a Loki trio. 😁

Hope that helps. From certain angles, I think this Loki can look a lot like a 1/6 scale statue, which is a good thing. It's a beautiful fig.

Thanks as always for the perspective.

And yeah this figure looks very good, and if I am truly being consistent with my “rules” I would sell my Ragnarock Loki and get this one bk in my eyes this Avengers 2.0 Loki is the most definitive/best representation in 1/6 scale. That said, there os something about the Ragnarok Loki that I really like that makes me hesitant to replace him.

I like your plan, those three versions of Loki will look awesome together!!

I know some like to keep to the 1 fig rule but honestly if you have space I would have both. This Loki looks best with the helmet and for myself can't ever see posing him much. With Ragnarok you can pose unhelmeted with knives and that was the costume that led to End Game. Depends I guess on how much you like Loki.

Like while I appreciate Dr. Strange for me V1 is enough. One Vision is enough. I get tempted but none of the figs are cheap!

Yeah I hear you. I am tempted to get this 2.0 Loki, It looks really good. Since, Thor was my favorite character when I collected comics as a kid and read Norse mythology, Loki is a very prominent character for me. That said, if i start relaxing my one figure per character rule for him I will likely will start making many more exceptions.
Then again maybe not, I did not abandon my rule completely even though I made a slight exception to my rule by adding Endgame Iron Patriot to my collection despite already having War Machine MK4. Folks in this forum helped convinced me (thankfully) that even though Rhodes is in both armors they are significant different AND others have worn Iron Patriot Armors.
The mental gymnastics for me on this Loki will be more difficult in the case of Loki than it was for War Machine/Iron Patriot. Then again maybe this 2.0 Loki is a different variant of Loki than the Ragnarok Loki 😁

Am I the only one who bit last week when Sideshow had him 15% off? Mine arrived tonight!

Excellent shots. I received mine and couldn't be happier to finally have him in his iconic look.
Thanks! Yeah, he’s a good addition to any Marvel collection. Not a figure you can go crazy with in the posing but then it isn’t one you need to with either. And I think the Hiddleston likeness is very strong with the helmet on. I even think he has the slightest sly smirk, or at least you can make him appear that he does with angles and lighting, which I think comes across in my photos?

I think the likeness is strong even with the helmet off. Your photos are a strong showcase for that. Unfortunately, some of the first photos shown by others were harsh, washed out lighting that made his forhead look huge.
