Possibly, I am just not sure how I will replace that on this thing without breaking anything haha [emoji23] I assume they will just advise to do it ?very carefully? lol

Either way, it is a gorgeous figure, and otherwise it is not something huge, I am just apprehensive not to say something when these things cost as they do and trying to glue something like that does not always mean it is 100% never prone to break again.

Ugh I was really excited to get this haha I haven?t even finished unboxing it.

I understand. It grinds people's gears when someone can't seem to resist seizing every opportunity to put out their same opinion again and again. There's definitely times not to do it. As I said I've been a guilty party in the past. I had persistent flame wars 'back in the day' with a few people who are no longer on the forum - I didn't enjoy that. But I'd like to think I'd get along better with those people now if they came back. And it's not that I've changed my opinions, I've just hopefully gotten better over the years at 'reading the room' for when to put them out, how to word them and generally to show self-awareness, throw in some self-deprecation if need be.

We have a certain population on here that feel that not only is it the done thing to let everyone know their opinion, it's mandated somehow, and that everyone needs to listen. I had a bit of a flame war myself with someone back in the day(Jeez, was it eight years ago? I feel old, lol). I eventually decided to bury the hatchet via a few PMs and always felt a lot better for it. It really takes two to tango, and as the Dalai Lama said: "It is the second word that starts the arguement".

Sorry to hear about the rough time you've been having by the way. I hope things get better.

It started long before Covid, but hopefully things can get better. My Wife and my Cats, and this hobby keep me on an even keel(I'm working on a 1/6 vtol craft that is staving off boredom while i'm at work also, so that's helping).

I never saw that in person. Funny that you should bring up that particular head because it seems to be a comparable situation with this Mark 85 Tony headsculpt - the final product came out looking very different from the prototype and, IMO, was a downgrade. I have never been truly happy with a Hot Toys Arnie head if I'm honest. There's a superb sculpt among them but unfortunately you'd have to combine elements from like 4 different heads to find it

Well, now there I go. See?

It's actually a very nice sculpt. Like i say, i always intended to get one repainted for a Terminator head. I have take some pics and will put them in spoiler tags so as not to clutter this thread with them.
I see the proto images from commando and see them like the proto/final reveal of the Reeve superman, in that the final looked far better in hand.
Here are the pics. I suppose until it?s repainted very well, you?d never be able to say for sure.

Keep in mind that Tony wasn't actually wearing a separate "gauntlet", he simply used the compatible nano-tech between his Mark 85 suit and the nano gauntlet to swipe the stones from Thanos. So there's no reason for the forearm/hand on his suit to look like the design of the original nano gauntlet.

Was this really necessary to type? Do you think anyone who buys these figures hasn?t watched the movies? I know that I sound totally crappy and arrogant and was going to try to type something less snarky but it would be almost as much of a waste of time as typing ?keep in mind that Tony wasn?t actually wearing a separate gauntlet?. Oh boy Thank you so much, I mean it was so confusing that both armies were focused on the gauntlet that was being tossed around the battlefield all the while Tony was hiding another one up his ****ing ***.

While i think the explanation was fairly written, i originally read your post to be that you hadn't realised that it was a different gauntlet(And i was about to post myself and say: "Did you realise these are different gauntlets?", when i realised someone else had said the same thing). On re-reading your post, i realised that i had mis-read your intent, and all you were saying was that you didn't think they matched "stylistically". And that is fair comment. The one Tony uses or "grows" on the suit to contain the stones, does have that beautiful organic "swoopiness" that this whole armour has. And the "hulk/thanos" version doesn't. In fact, it harks back to the design of the "IM2/IM3" aesthetic of angluar and fairly clunky design(Indeed, when the gauntlet enlarges to fit Hulk, it seems to do it mechanically, and not via nano-tech), so perhaps the idea was that Tony used tried and tested tech, perhaps clunky and angular, because he didn't need it to be all bells and whistles, all singing and dancing.
But your intent of saying it didn't fit in with his nano-tech designs was overt in your post.

A guy on Facebook lit one up. But it was a full on custom. So HT are unlikely to do that. I don't know whether the previous upgrade set sold well or not, but the fact they never offered another one might say that it didn't.

I've been think of changing my preorder from the battle damaged for this clean look. I have the Mark 7 and 47, which are both clean. I think this one might look better with those two. Plus I like the starfish on his back lol. The paint and body on this one looks immaculate.

I assumed it’s still nano-tech, and *could* look like the rest of the slinky armour, but it’s using a tougher *Hulkbuster* aesthetic. We do see it morph bigger to fit Hulk from its original normal size.

Such a shame, I guess I am going to have to tear mine apart and at least install some LEDs in the front facing parts of the lightning refocuser; it is only 12 LEDs to wire and install, 12 individual spots to cut out plastic and 12 places to replace cut out sections with opaque plastic so the lights can be seen and diffused

And this, I believe, will be my first long term pose on my shelf until BD Mk. LXXXV arrives later this year:
