Think I will add this with my starboost and 45 for the maybe last iron-man armor I get. Was thinking of getting bones.

Is it just me, or does the sculpt on this one seem like it’s a slight regression from the previous sculpt? It’s unequivocally way better than earlier sculpts, but the sculpt on my Mk 46 seems like it’s a bit more spot on in likeness to me.

Totally with you Silverstar. This headsculpt isn't as good as the Mark 46.

To be honest if it's the Mk 85, I was thinking it is from the future and they need to do a slightly older looking Tony. Hence the older looking sculpt imo.

But each to their own. I won't be getting this guy.

i don’t understand the hype or better yet the resell price for the 47. it had little screen time and i’m not a fan of chrome/silver on iron man those aren’t his colors

but i guess it’s great that hot toys pumps these out because everyone has their own taste

Remember the sharpness of the sculpt here is a little overdone to account for softening in production. I think it'll settle out.

I also have the 45, which I love and was curious how it is holding up against the later armors.

I cancelled my mark 7 order to go with this last one. I think I'd put 46 first on the list though.
So these will be my 4 armors (for now, barring a diecast Mark 1)

Basing it just off photos since it’s not out I’d rank the look of the 85 pretty high.

I also have the 45, which I love and was curious how it is holding up against the later armors.

I have the 45 as well and I rank it right up there with the 46. The one criticism of the 45 that I've heard is that the helmet size is a tad small, but I think it was that way on screen.

I also never cared for the 47 - IMO it's just an unappealing repaint of the 46. I'd go for the Concept Art 46 before the 47. The 50 has the leg gap complaint, but otherwise it's a beauty. Still, I'm passing on it & opting for the 85.

For those that you asked about, my order would be 46, 45, 50 and 46 Concept Art, with 47 bringing up the rear.

Prefer the color scheme of the 47 over the 46 but do think the 50 is an improvement over the 46/47.

45 is good but it’s really the suit that ushered in the next gen of Iron Man figures. All HT has done is refine refine refine with each release.

This is my Iron Man collection (the 46 I own being concept). Ranking is hard, but I do love the Mark 6 a ton.

47 has too much silver for me. 46 has a great amount of red, gold and silver. Plus the best headsculpt out there. And the light up features are also killer. Still so happy with my choice of the 46.
