I've always liked the part II more so I'll be holding out for that version. I actually got to stand next to the car and look it over last week at Universal. Something I've been wanting to do since I was 10 years old. To bad I missed out on the BTTF ride by 8 years.

In the gift shop there they had what looked like a 1/12 scale Delorean in a case but none for sale, does anyone know if any company has ever made one in 1/12 scale before?

Wow... People are crying about Hot Toys inaccuracies, what's with the size of that Mr. Fusion?

Yup. "Wellys" that's the ones. I like them. Look great on display, but I'm a casual fan of BTTF.

I'm looking forward to the HT Delorean, but do understand what a lot of people are moaning about, altough it's not enough to bother me like it does some.

I actually prefer the 1/24 (I think) diecast ones I have. I think they had those at universal too.

the 1/24 were wellys and for the price they are pretty decent. They are missing the door windows for some reason. I believe there were only 3 of them released and the part 2 one never had the folding wheels. I found the sunstar 1/18 scales ones to be better.

This is universals attempt at restoring the car where tourists have stolen pieces off of it.

The Welly's are decent for the price. I actually have a Sunstar 1/18th Gold DeLorean. Pretty nice display item although the door on the driver side doesn't stay up the best.

Some photos are up on Facebook. The license plate requires a decal sticker that you have to apply yourself. Same for some of the interior stuff.

Anybody know if you had to apply stickers to the Batmobile or the Tumbler?

If not, Hot Toys is cutting corners on this item.

That being said, I'm not canceling my order but it does raise some questions.

as i mentioned earlier in this thread. my guess is that they are doing the posters. i say this because pretty much every picture HT have released they have had marty and the delorean posed just like in the poster. although, if they ever do the 3rd film, i cant see them doing clara

actually thinking (and hoping), maybe they will recreate this poster with the train being the "3rd character"

No.

Ugh. :slap

This is not worth any $689. More like a $300 job. Is this an oversized model kit to apply stickers (ridiculous) or a movie accurate studio replica car that's supposed to be all put together already with very little to no assembly? I hope I don't crush anybody's desire for this, but it's a piece of garbage.

That's a really *****ty move hot toys. I swear if it isn't iron man or some other crap that's been run into the ground it gets the shaft and we have to put stickers on ourselves like a damn matell Barbie jeep.... Wish I didn't oh an NRD on this I would cancel.

There have been items in the past that required you to put stickers on (the Robocop chair, one of the Iron Man figures, and probably more that I don't remember off hand). I don't think it's really a huge deal.

in the pictures the outatime plates dont look like decals, it looks raised. since this is supposed to be the car at the end of the film, its not really meant to have the plate on it anyway.

with regards to some assembly required.... meh. i'd rather that than it get damaged in transit

Most of the ones hating on this have already been saying that they have no interest in this car so what the hell are they even doing here lol I for one still am beyond excited to get this.
