I'd love to see them offer the vault, if it's MMS and not DX< it could be the box, but DX seems to be a standard sort of box no matter who the figure is so I doubt they'd do it for a DX.

It looked fantastic back then but 22 years on the Batcave now looks like a downmarket electronics emporium in Luton.

In some ways yes. But the Batman Begins suit was also quite true to the comics

I think there's a certain aesthetic appeal to it..much like how the fallout 3 Retro futuristic theme worked so well.

this batman suit rules. he's wearing sneaker/boots by nike for christ's sake. The batman begins suit/the dark knight suit are just modern updates on this one, IMO.

Actually, the comics and animations are more in line with this suit (not the other way around). That is, they changed the look of the suit in the comics to match this one, after the movie came out.

It's interest - comic books (and Batman in particular) seem to be quite comfortable in feeding off of their own spin-offs and incorporating changes in their adaptations into their original source material. Lots of changes from the comics - in visual appearance, storylines, and characterizations - are made for things like movies and TV shows, and some of those end up being retroactively included in the comics.

speaking of this suit, i will hopefully soon be recieveing my own custom made 89 batsuit i am buying from this guy in australia (the guy is in the suit, not me lol), its really awsome, ive always wanted a proffesional movie style batsuit. the only thing it doesnt come with is the boots and thats ok cuz i plan on doing better boots anyway. that and i will need a more accurate leather cape, but everything else looks so awsome. the cowl looks amazing.

no it doesnt. i didnt know what to tell at first but when i saw the video i was sold, its the best 89 suit ive seen for sale. the only thing i would have to improve on is the boots and cape.
