No straight-jacket for me, either. I think the Scarecrow looks really distinctive and interesting being a guy in a suit with a crazy-ass mask. My Scarecrow Kubrick is probably one of my top 5 Kubricks, and I'm sure the weird juxtaposition plays some role in that.

Not sure I would call it "Dark Knight-style," though. He wore the suit with mask for most of his screen time in Begins.

I prefer the straight jacket look. Cool that we at least have some options, even if they didn't give us much in the way of accessories. :)

I'm not really sure which look I prefer. I like the regular business suit look because, lets face it, it's the main look. It's also kind of unique having this character that dresses appropriately but has a nightmarish mask.

On the other hand it is kind of boring. It really wasn't evident in 2005, but the Scarecrow kind of plays into that business suit fetish that Nolan seems to have these days. The straight jacket makes him look more "comic booky" and surrealistic. It adds to the character and makes him seem more imposing and dynamic. It fits the character more (the doctor becoming the patient) and makes it more "Scarecrow" then just the suit.

I'm really not sure which one I prefer. I know with the Movie Masters figures I prefered the straight jacket to the simple business suit, but for 1/6 I'm kind of leaning over to the business suit side.

Not really sure yet. My Begins/TDK merchandise for Scarecrow so far includes the Begins Kubrick (suit), the Movie Masters figure (straight jacket), and this little cereal figurine.

I think I'll leave the straight jacket exclusively for the MM figure and go with the business suit look for my Hot Toys 1/6. Can't really say for sure though.

I know this though. Buying two figures and having BOTH variations is not an option.

Make it dirty.

Scarecrow isn't wearing brown clothes in TDK. They actually appear to be old and used, filled with dirt and grime. Probably the same ones he wore in Begins.

The first thing that comes to mind in terms of customizing to achieve this look might be staining the clothes with coffee or tea.

Yeah not a bad idea - hisclothes are filthy in TDK, that's why I got Seb to totally soil my SC suit and shirt, I guess I'll take a regular tie and kill it

Okay so what is this form that appears on Hot Toys HK website when you click on the 10th anniversary form. It ask for a vip number. Did I miss something.

I think it's for Toy Hunters. I think it was pretty much a given that the left over exclusives would go to that store.

My guess (I can't read Chinese) is that it's an order form of some kind for Toy Hunters.

EDIT:

I take it back. Actually, I think it's an online registration form for the actual event, not the figures. I just looked at their recent information and blogs and that was listed on the 16th of December.

Crane wears a few different shirt/jacket/tie combinations in Begins:

but his shirt and tie are different in TDK. They are indeed dirty, but even clean, still brown:

Umair, your collection is epic! I'll be in touch.

Maybe not the same versions he wore in Begins (at one point even wears a sweater vest in Begins), but I still don't think that's a brown shirt and tie. Perhaps the tie is an actual brown, but definitely not the shirt.

In the example you used you can see that the shirt appears to have once been a white pin striped shirt that is now brown and splotched.

I believe his shirt is also untucked as well. I always got the impression that they were going for a grungy look for Scarecrow to show the time between Begins and TDK, even if it's a brief sequence.

He's very unkempt.

It does appear he's been living on the streets for a while...I'll argue that it's a different shirt with the spacing of the stripes and the fact that the "filth" has so uniformly turned the white shirt brown....but that could've been their intention and they probably didn't count on such nitpicking when they prepared his wardrobe for TDK :wink1:

Regardless, my custom Scarecrow is based on his apperance in TDK:

New mask coming soon...:yess:

Not impressed.

Got an e-mail from Eric (Toys2) that I was added to the list. Looks like he's still adding people. Figure it's worth a shot.....no pun intended.

great pics! demon Bats is meh. looks good, but like most if only can afford one, I'd go with Scarecrow

My problem with Ra's is that I don't know which I want: The one that we incorrectly believe is Ra's and looks like we imagine Ra's looking or the one that actually is Ra's but is't particularly interesting to look at.

Liam Neeson's character isn't very "villainous" looking compared to the other 3.

the only thing Ken Watanabe had that looked like comic book Ra's was the goatee. plus can't really say I imagined Ra's looking Asian and bald though. I always thought of him as Persian maybe

and even so, Liam Neeson's goatee was a more real world goatee that someone would have, but with the longer and grayer sides to the goatee that comic-book Ra's had.

to me at least, Liam looks more the part of Ra's Al Ghul than Ken Watanabe
