the only thing Ken Watanabe had that looked like comic book Ra's was the goatee. plus can't really say I imagined Ra's looking Asian and bald though. I always thought of him as Persian maybe and even so, Liam Neeson's goatee was a more real world goatee that someone would have, but with the longer and grayer sides to the goatee that comic-book Ra's had.

This was done purposefully I'm assuming. In the comics there is a discrepancy about Ras. In one origin story he was part of an Arab tribe that migrated to China and he used both ancient cultures to come to his Lazarus Pit, etc, in this origin he is slated to be about 600 years old. In other origin story he is of British decent who goes through an affinity for ancient cultures and studies all of the ancients including ancient Persia, ancient China, ancient Japan to find the keys to various aspects of his power including a combination of various ideas and theories to create the Lazarus Pit in that origin he is just under 500 years old.

Both Wannabe and Neeson played both aspects of the origin perfectly IMHO but it should be noted that the British decent (Neeson's take) is what is still considered canon for most writers in that universe. Ras does wear a suit most of the time, only followed by his emerald cape which if you added to Neeson's suit from the end would have fit perfectly.

they did actually 4000 for bats/crow, 4000 MJ and 2500 for tomodachi.

2000 HK, 2000 JP for both bats and MJ, while 2000 JP and 500 HK for tomodachi.

Its for POing, but they dont confirm it to you just yet. Which is kinda weird if you ask me.

I posted in the MJ thread that I personally think the edition sizes are ridiculously high for 1/6 scale exclusives. All the Darth Vaders Sideshow released (regular and exclusive) are only a bit more than twice the edition sizes of these. Hard to put edition size in perspective when Hot Toys keeps those numbers so close to the vest, but when you figure Darth Vader and Storm Troopers only get 7500-8500, 4000 seems like a very substantial number.

4000 would be plenty, if Hot Toys was interested in limiting how many of these "exclusives" each of their customers get.

But when you see a guy like Tony Cheung get dozens of these figures, and the rest of us have no chance, then you realize that Hot Toys is more interested in helping out the scalpers than thanking their fanbase.

If Hot Toys cared about their fanbase, they'd have limited to one or two per customer - in which case, there'd be plenty to go around.

Supply is supply. And I'm not sure the demand is there to sell a pricey 2-pack like this with a secondary villain and weird variant Batman from one scene at numbers this high, regardless of whether some sellers are getting more than their "fair share". But beyond that, BBTS and Cornerstore probably got dozens of Darth Vaders, and the world didn't end.

As for exclusives
I have not really encountered many Asian exihibit only exclusives but I know SSC exclusives he rarely gets if at all through HT. I do know he resales SSC goods so if he can get hold on ex through SSC if there is enough to go around he will. That's how I got my MArkII Ex. Has a huge SSC Ex sticker on it

The thing is Sideshow usually gets the Toy Hunters exclusives, so a normal figure it would be safe to assume we could get one from Sideshow. So even if they do let Sideshow distribute some of the 10th Ann exclusives, the Batman/Scarecrow set isn't even confirmed since its a DC item and DCD can be... opinionated. So hopefully they just let Sideshow do a Watchmen and let them handle everything. Same with the Bamtan 89 line.

to me at least, Liam looks more the part of Ra's Al Ghul than Ken Watanabe
