Best HT Figure to Date?

Best figure to date is in the eye of the beholder. That said IMO the T1 T-800 is my favorite. As for superman I got mine only about a month ago and have to admit that I liked it way more that I thought I would and ranks in my top 5. Jack is one of the best made but does nothing for me and was an easy pass. I have the 89 bats on preorder so time will tell. The T-600's are also amazing and I think underrated.

Superman is awesome but, you seriously need to handle that one with great care which puts me off the figure a little. DX Sparrow is the most highly detailed and best sculpt Hot Toys has ever put out but, i know my favorite is going to be DX09 Keaton Batman simply because that character means the world to me compared to Sparrow and Batman in general is just more appealing then Superman.

Just wait until you get Batman a-dev, it'll blow your mind.

There are very few instances where I sit down an actually appreciate and play around with a figure for hours, and to date, '89 Batman, Tech Noir Arnold and the T-1000 have been the exceptions, Batman especially. The cape is crazy good and the headsculpt and PERS is the best Hot Toys has done so far and I'm not one to participate in these kind of "best of" polls.

Unfortunately, I got over the Reeve Superman really fast. It's iconic and I couldn't wait to finally own the character but once I opened the box, took the figure out, posed it a bit, I just didn't care that much anymore. It has a presence for the icon it is but on a figure level, it just doesn't do much for me.

Batman is like every kid's dream figure. The cape, the gadgets, that look, you can't put it down. Those Skynet Cyborg dudes are a close second though.

NEEDZ ME A BD T2!

By the time I'm in a position to take more of my backlog of HT figures off Toys2 I'm sure Batman will be there and I will undoubtedly prioritise him. Hoping to take 3 figures in the next round so probably Batman and 2 of the 3 Predators I have ordered, if its too much then Batman and 1 predator.

Only problem is my Batman and Superman movie watching/soundtrack listening moods haven't been well timed. I wasn't particularly in a Superman mood when I was finally opening up the figure and, if now is anything to go by, I won't be much in Batman mood when I'm opening the Keaton figure. If I had been in Superman mode I think I would have relished getting the figure that little bit more. Nevertheless whenever I feel compelled to listen to those scores or watch those films the figures will be truly appreciated in my collection. Not that my jaw didn't hit the floor when Superman came out of the box but it will be even better when Superman is at the forefront of my geek-thoughts.

I'm gonna go with the big game changer here. I think most of us forgot, myself included, just how big of a evolution this figure was. Until another evolution on par with this one happens, BRJ must hold all the cards.

I would agree that that line really, and that sculpt, the Two Face, and the Batman Begins suit figure from the line specifically really set themselves apart from previous Hot Toys figures in my opinion in terms of really reaching a height of head paint and sculpting excellence that other companies had only dreamed about. And were, coincidentally, my gateway into Hot Toys.

While the BR Joker was certainly another leap forward in HT's quality, they've pushed themselves even further since that figure. It's still one of their better figures, but in best to date, they've grown since.

Rambo 3 was a leap in paint and sculpt work for it's time, I'd say BR Joker marked the next stage in sculpt work, John Connor marked the next leap forward in paint work and I think now, DX Jack Sparrow sets the mark for detailing and overall effort.

It's a great sculpt and mask, but the rest isn't up their amongst the best, the torso is on a weird spring that forces it back or forth and the rest isn't revolutionary IMO

I agree, Sparrow and 89 Batman do feel like another level. Well, i don't own 89 yet..but i can tell. Still, Sparrow didn't blow my mind in 11 as much as BRJ did in 08. I guess i have just gotten too comfortable with excellence. I expect the next evolution to look like the top notch customs floating around out there. Like this for example..
