According to Variety, it will air on Disney+ "Premier Access", which will cost an additional $30 as a rental fee.

Paying another fee on top of your subscription? What an a$$****. Guys like Cristopher Nolan got their panties in a twist when studios said they would release movies on HBO Max because he'll be getting less royalties then if it were released it in theaters. Oh never mind, there's only a deadly global pandemic happening

I'm ok with the $30 additional fee. I for one hate movie theaters (pre-pandemic even) and if my two sons and I watch this for $30 with our own discount snacks, it's a significant savings. For those who love the theater experience, they can see it in theaters. For those who don't love this but would like to see it sometime, it'll be on Disney+ for free in a few months. I like this model.

Disney is doing it for the money - but if it works to give consumers a choice, I'm good with it. I wanna see this film, but can't see myself in a theater any time soon. Since I go to premium theaters anyway, the cost works out about the same.

Except, yah know, at home probably won't get a possible dose of a potentially devastating illness and/or pass it around.

You said it perfect darth dennis! Theaters are cool and all, but nothing beats the comfort of home for me! But then Im very much of an antisocial person myself(hate theater crowds and their reactions lol). Also I like to watch films with subtitles so I don't miss any dialogue, which theaters don't have. In the scheme of things, a 30$ movie isn't breaking anyone's bank either.

I wish they would have done this months ago. $30 is a huge discount for what it normally costs to take a family of four to the movies.

I'm all for watching movies at home but some people are already paying for a subscription and then their bending us over again to watch a new release. Give me a break

You're not forced to pay it though. If you want to watch the new release, you can pay X amount of dollars to see it in the theater -OR- pay $30 to watch it in your living room. If you don't want to watch it, you're free to wait until it comes to D+ three months down the road or whenever.

It?s so funny seeing the reaction to this announcement because I could?ve sworn when Disney kept delaying this everyone was saying ?Just release it on premier access already!!? and now that Disney finally does it, everyone seemingly did a complete 180

I would understand Nolan's point if Tenet was a must-see theater experience...unfortunately for him the movie is a must-NOT-see movie in general. What a waste of 2.5 hours...yessh! Nolan has clearly lost his touch.

The price is fair for anyone watching the movie with even just one other person. It's a deal for any family with even just one child considering $30 would be the price of admission for 2-3 tickets depending on where you are.

It's a perspective shift. This is an alternative to going to the theater and timed as such.

No one is being forced to pay it, and anyone that doesn't can wait till it's available on home release or included with Disney+ down the road.

I mean honestly, at my local AMC/MJR, if I wanted to treat myself, a ticket, a cocktail, and a large popcorn and I'd probably be at that $30 price point just by myself.

Tickets here are 10 bucks, give or take. My whole fam (4) is gonna watch Black Widow, we've been waiting for it for months. So to me, I'm actually in the green AT LEAST ten bucks just by watching it at home. Obviously YMMV, but I think some perspective is called for.

I don't understand why folks paying $5.99-$7.99 a month for Disney+ expect that should entitle them to everything. As it is subscribers have access to a huge catalog of titles as well as original series and movies. In ordinary times subscribers wouldn't get access to theatrical releases for at least 3 to 6 months (theatrical run > blue-ray/digital > pay-per-view). Premier Access is an add-on bonus that simply allows Diz+ subscribers to "cut the line" and watch the movie at home. To me that's a bargain. The movie will be in theaters, so it's not like people are being forced to buy Premier Access or even subscribe to Disney+.

As for Figures:
White Widow Natasha ? 100% already shown, so HT has probably just been waiting for the green light from Marvel
Black Widow (Natasha) ? 85% It's a fabric color swap and maybe a different hairstyle and accessories. Could also be offered as part of a Black Widow/White Widow 2-Pack.
Taskmaster ? 75% already shown, but HT has a spotty track record when it comes to actually soliciting figures of villains
Black Widow (Yelena) ? 60% since Florence Pugh will be taking on the role (although I wouldn't be surprised if Natasha comes back via the multiverse and Yelena joins the Thunderbolts)
Red Guardian ? 25% Unlikely. However, there'll probably be flashback scenes with RG in his prime so maybe HT would go that route and reuse the Captain America body and any parts they could (no unmasked portrait). Still, 3rd party unlicensed is probably the best chance for this one.

Yeah, I'm in a similar situation. $30 for five total viewers is less per person than a student or senior rate.

Delaying until July is a smart move. By then the majority of the population should be vaccinated, whereas that won't be the case by early May. As long as there are still restrictions in place with respect to masks and capacity & seats are spaced out, I think a lot of people will feel going to theaters is pretty safe again. It shouldn't be any riskier than going to the grocery store now.

I just hope my friend's family, whose D+ account I bum off of, rents the movie! This way it'd be free for me!
