I find the scene where Rhodey gets shot down laughable – IM tells Vision to shoot Falcon... I guy with only a set of wings... so he didn't mind him plummetting to his death, but when Vision misses and hits War Machine (a guy in protective, super duper armour) instead, it's suddenly terrible... you told him to take the shot!!!

Action flicks....

Hold on, wait, wait. :lol

So literally within a weekend, are we going from thinking the new, apparently reworked sculpt looking fantastic and looking much more like Gal, to it now being average looking and not looking much like Gal?

Just so I'm not mistaken, is everyone still referring to the same sculpt that's in these pictures, correct? The same sculpt that literally a few days ago when these pictures were initially shared, people were raving about and drooling over? It's now no good after a few days based on one picture from a poor angle? :dunno

Everyone saying that the new portrait is no good are wrong. :monkey3 :wink1: J/K

Seriously though; its just a matter of opinion and IMO the portrait looks amazing. :D

I guess end of the day.
If you are happy with the headsculpt, try get it. (If it's within your financial means)
If you are not happy with the HS, don't force yourself to get it. ( you may if you have too much money).

Just a hobby, I am sure many collectors here admire their priced collection themselves more than for showing off to others..

Sure, but it doesn't really show the weight of it. Captain vs Iron Man seemed more at face value than feeling real. Compare Batman's reasons for wanting to kill Superman compared to theirs. It felt like Batman would follow through, whereas in Civil War it just seems like a hissy fit. I also feel like the DC films deal with civilian casualties in a more serious way. Prime example of Marvel films severely lacking in this regard is Age of Ultron floating mega city of unbelievable and pointlessly high 'stakes'.

I love the Marvel films, but they're becoming too much like they're telling you something is a threat or dangerous as opposed to actually showing it - for me DC films have highlighted this even more.

Not trying to ignite a Marvel vs DC, I just genuinely hope Marvel can look at Wonder Woman and understand that like DC perhaps needing a bit more light heartedness (although I personally don't feel it does), that Marvel needs a bit more weight.

I love both Marvel and D.C. movies so no chance of igniting a war from me. They both have their strengths and weaknesses but they all have one thing in common that we all love: Superheroes on the big screen. But I think there are valid points on both sides. No one comic company, studio, or franchise really gets it wrong or right. They all fall somewhere in the middle.

Civil war had gravity because Cap was protecting Bucky from Tony. The man who killed his parents. That's pretty heavy doc! Tony was pissed that cap knew and lied to him cause he thought they were friends. An obvious betrayal as seen by Tony. Big reason to kill Bucky no matter who gets in the way. All Tony saw was rage and went postal.

Compared to BVS there is a similar theme. Bruce sees Clark as a threat because he killed so many people. Including those he cared about at his company building. Bruce obviously still enraged from the death of his parents saw himself as powerless to stop their death so now vows to do all he can to stop those too powerful that kill innocents.

I can't speak to how the movies felt to you but I liked them all.

I love DC and Marvel and have no idea why people argue about what's the best.

:exactly:

I just simply watch the film and enjoy it for what it's meant to be. I don't expect the DCEU to be like the MCU or vice versa.

Oh of course, all a matter of opinion indeed.

I just find it hilarious that within a matter of a few days, the seeming majority goes from drooling over the sculpt to taking out the pitchforks. :lol

I personally had no major issues with the prototype sculpt. I had my gripes with it on how it could have been better, yes, but I was fine with it. This reworked one to me is indeed better. The shape of the sculpt and the expression is a bit more fierce, consequently improving the likeness.

I'll never trust photos again. I remember the Winter Soldier Black Widow toy looking pretty bad in photos. I saw her a comic book store though and bought her on the spot. Even when I take photos of them on my cell phone, they never look as good as they do to the human eye.

Final flex pushed till July...won't have this in hand till probably August.
Outrageous really...this was meant to be for Christmas.

that is so stupid but hey it's MCU- it all gets a pass so they can rag on BvS

Kinda expected though, with most of these releases you can add on two months between HK release and SS. It's disappointing but I feel a lot better now we've seen an improved sculpt and her movie is being so well received.

They're different movies made by different studios. Who cares which one is better?

I enjoy both and just want to be entertained.

The Falcon had a parachute in TWS. I would assume he still has one on the newer rig.

I love both Marvel and DC and Batman is my favorite super hero of all time.

I find it funny that fans of the DCEU think that people hate on it because they are all Marvel fanboys. They hate on it because they are bad movies. I know there are fans of them here but as a fan of the DC characters, comics and animated series. I think they are just awful. And I'm obviously not the only one.

The DCEU movies aren't hard hitting and "weighty". They try very hard to be but fail miserably. For example the Tornado scene in Man of Steel. They tried so hard to have this emotional scene about sacrifice. But it was just so dumb, If your father was about to die and you had the ability to save him you would and Superman definitely would. I get what they were going for but it was just poorly executed like most of the DCEU.

DC already got hard hitting and weighty films from Nolan but they obviously didn't learn anything from that.

Anyway the fact that Wonder Woman is getting amazing reviews and it is reportedly much lighter in tone will only reaffirm in Marvel that they are doing the right thing. I'm not sure why GaryPool thinks that if this movie succeeds it will change Marvel's ways.

Never said it will, just I just hope.

For my personal taste, I prefer the tone of the DCEU films than the MCU.

I personally liked the tornado scene in MoS. I can understand where people are coming from when they say Superman would never let his father die, which on the surface is true, but I think the psychology behind the scene does make sense when you go beyond the surface. The way I saw it was Clark was not "Superman" at that point, or at any point in MoS really. During the tornado scene, he was simply 17 year old Clark Kent who was unsure of who he was. However, the fact that he chose to save his classmates in the school bus and actually was about to run out to save Jonathan, demonstrated his natural inclination to want to help others. Clark didn't "let" Jonathan die, Jonathan made a choice and a sacrifice. Not to mention by the way we don't know at this point how developed Clark's abilities were and if he was even aware of what he could do to his full potential.

Would Superman have saved him anyway? Absolutely, and mostly because at that point he would have already been revealed to the world. But to a 17 year old Clark who was unsure of who he was and with his father giving him a firm "no", after him already having explained the ramifications of revealing himself and why he was trying to protect him, made sense to me from a psychological sense. Even a 35 year old (presumably, since BvS took place two years after MoS where he stated he was 33) Superman in BvS was having trouble dealing with the ramifications of him revealing himself; imagine how a 17 year old would (or wouldn't) be able to handle it.

Welcome to Sideshow Freaks. :lol

:duff :lol

As long as neither MCU or DCEU reach the level of grim-dark bleak hopeless cynicism that was the Watchmen movie, I'm happy.

This movie is getting high praise everywhere I look. The iron will never be hotter than now, HT better release her Friday, they'd be fools not to.

Outrageous really...this was meant to be for Christmas.

You may get it by this Christmas if you are lucky :impatient:

I'm thinking of cancelling my Sideshow order and importing this when it comes out so that I can be done with the wait.

she looks abit pale, interested in seein more prod pics.

(Stark or Rhodey)one of them says to Vision, "turn him into a glider!" in regards to Falcon. They are assuming that if Vis hits/grazes the engine on falcons wings at center of back disabling the boosters he wouldn't be able to follow Warmachine anymore, wouldnt be able to keep up but would still be able to glide to a landing etc.
:lecture

got my Ht BP today so re-wathed it last night, still fresh in memory that scene.
