Warts & all, I like the DCEU. That being said...that tornado scene is just plain stupid. I liked Costner as Jonathan Kent, but the writing of that character was downright laughable.

Can't agree there – I actually think he was superbly written... as a father... do you have kids? A father would do anything to protect his children – he knows what the government would want to do to Clark if his powers were revealed and doesn't want that to happen - they didn't know at that point how far Clark's powers would develop...

...also think the "maybe you should" line was superbly delivered, you could tell that although Johnathon said it he really didn't believe it himself... everything he does is out of love and a desire to protect his child – it's called being a Dad!

Marvel and DC are different so it's not fair to compare them imo. Marvel movies are supposed to be fun and lighthearted, all with an inspirational undertone, while DC is more dark and gritty. Both studios are different, and that's why I love them. They both shouldn't do the same thing imo ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Tell that to online "critics" (I use that term generously) and bloggers – that's all they do!

I know right? I like variety. Can't have all blondes, need a brunette and a redhead too.

I agree... and that's my problem with the MCU, there is no variety – it started out well, but every film is made to the same set tone now, and they are becoming indistinguishable! I believe that every character should set their own tone – look at Doctor Strange, personally I hated it – for me it should have been the MCU's dark movie, instead it was almost GoTG levels of fun and humour! At least the DCEU is letting each movie and character have their own "feel".

Agree 100%

I see more Morena Baccarin than Gal in that sculpt but it does look better than the previous sculpt.

True that!

Oh, never mind, Morena Baccarin is way hotter!

Man, that lighting must be really messing with the tones of the head and body…
I have never seen a Hot Toys figure release that had the head looking that much different
than the neck and body.

Hopefully when this actually releases the blogger pics will show the true look of it.

Really loving the new sculpt. With the skin tone difference is the sculpt to dark or the body to pale? I guess we can't tell from those few pics.

If the hair was sculpted I'd be tempted to get this- it is why I don't have a Black Widow. Just seems too much like a Barbie.

Why does Barbie always get a bad name? lol. Barbie's hair is, tbh, the best on the market re: rooted hair. They know what they're doing, and they do it extremely well.

As for Hot Toys, so long as you don't "break" the curls by constantly running your fingers through it, and apply a little hair cream if needed, the figures with rooted hair look amazing. Certainly better to have rooted hair for a figure with long hair than sculpted, because long sculpted hair limits the movement of the head.

I'm really happy with how Wonder Woman's hair looks. It looked very thin in the prototype picture, but here it looks nice and thick.

I dont get what it is with Hot Toys and their female figures having this dumbfounded mouth agape expression.

Rey has it, the Ripley proto has it and now this has it.

I do think it's an improvement on the proto sculpt. Agree on the expression thing though, Rey would have been much improved by squinting eyes and less gawp!

Guys...
Back from the movie...
it's well rounded movie...
Adventure, love, abit of comedy some mythology, war actions....
Patty made Gal looks like the most beautiful woman in the world....it's like a photoshoot.
Gal's dialog delivery was still soso, but she has the face acting to compensate.....
C. Pine is amazing the movie..
(Note: long hair not suitable for full-on action sequences..)
