Have this on po. As i adore gal gadot. But seeing the picture of morena baccarin next to the headsculpt.. I just cant shake that image off now. Well.. I hope the figure is much nicer in hand that any pictures that has been posted online so far.( hope body and head color isnt as bad as those pics )

Can't agree there – I actually think he was superbly written... as a father... do you have kids? A father would do anything to protect his children – he knows what the government would want to do to Clark if his powers were revealed and doesn't want that to happen - they didn't know at that point how far Clark's powers would develop...

...also think the "maybe you should" line was superbly delivered, you could tell that although Johnathon said it he really didn't believe it himself... everything he does is out of love and a desire to protect his child – it's called being a Dad!

Of course you can't agree. You're going to like the DCEU no matter what they give you. The writing of Jonathan Kent was garbage. That tornado scene, was, and always will be, ridiculous.

Not really. You just think it's ridiculous because you think it's ridiculous.

The only way it would be ridiculous is if it was out of character for him suddenly to do so. It was completely within his character as dario said well, Jonathan Kent did not want the world knowing who Clark is, he doesn't want anything bad to happen to him because he knows what he is - an alien. And this film is hugely based in todays world, and what do people do to aliens even from other parts of the globe? Mistreat, ridicule, use and abuse. Of course he would fear for Clark. And he doesn't know what powers he has, what he is capable, what good he is capable of doing at that point of the film. All he wanted, a continuation of the scenes we got when he was a kid, was to protect him and keep him safe and hidden. You're probably thinking that this is ridiculous because you expect Jonathan Kent to be something else... well tough ****, Jonathan Kent was this in the film, and certainly isn't ridiculous. You just didn't like this representation. Many people did, completely fit in with the rest of the film and universe. I prefer knowing that it is his choice to protect others and inspire hope, it was his innate humaneness rather than being taught it.

So he cared so much about that and Clark that he chose to sacrifice himself rather than have his fears brought to life of Clark being exposed to the world - not Superman. Clark wasn't Superman until the end of the film.

Guys...
Back from the movie...
it's well rounded movie...
Adventure, love, abit of comedy some mythology, war actions....
Patty made Gal looks like the most beautiful woman in the world....it's like a photoshoot.
Gal's dialog delivery was still soso, but she has the face acting to compensate.....
C. Pine is amazing the movie..
(Note: long hair not suitable for full-on action sequences..)
I'm pretty excited to see this now, especially after being let down by Alien last weekend.

The new sculpt looks very much like Gal, imo. They got the face shape and eyes/eyebrows and lip shape perfect. The nose, I think, might be a little too small, but it's hard to tell. I don't know who that other woman is that they're trying to compare the sculpt to, but they look nothing alike aside from wearing heavy eyeliner.

I dont know, IMO the new sculpt does not look like Gal. And that expression is awful. Looks like a Real Doll.

Guess it's okay to post about her solo movie in here?

just got back from watching the movie
Wonder Woman really portrayed as a very optimistic and positive character here, makes me kinda feel bad that she has becoming more skeptical in BvS
and,
the makers of the movie didn't make it too complicated or too brooding, eventhough the setting is at war,
the action scenes at the battlefield are great

Let's reign in the insults. It is one thing to criticize a product, it is another to attack another board member.

I wasn't attacking any one member. It is stupid that people keep doing that same mistake over and over again. Heaven forbid we insult those who dish out the over the top, hateful or stupid comments. They do tend to have the thinnest skin.

Is she vastly different to how she was in BvS? Not that she was in it much.

I don't think anyone's been attacking each other?

Nice! Can't wait. Also, thank you for posting positive and relevant posts. Between facebook and recent posts here I'm about to quit the internet!

I am very glad they did it that way, I mean she comes from the "island" where she is told how bad things are in the rest of the world, then she makes the decision to see for herself, after seeing there is a lot of real good people and intentions, she helps out....but...imagine that after seeing the horrors of WW1 and then the even extream horrors and attrocities of WW2 and all the other "regional" wars after that...she began to rethink if there is really hope!!!

I would say yes, she is quite different, like Patty Jenkins said in one of her interview, this Diana is more closer to Chris Reeves's Superman

you're welcome, yea, I feel that the positivity in this thread especially is kinda sliding down :(, I was constantly checking here to see whether there is an update about her figure, starting to get excited when saw the new HS, but, on the other side...

I wasn't attacking any one member. . .
Not everyone is going to have a legitimate gripe, and some may say what you perceive to be offensive things about products here, or the source of those products. But violating board policy by insulting other members is not an acceptable way of dealing with your grievance. It's just a formula for more conflict.

Understood and I'll pretend that the default setting around here is to not to hate a thing needlessly. These figures are made by robots with no feelings after all, no one here works for these companies, sees these wonderfully worded and mature posts about the work they do which as we all well know is very easy.

No more from me on this.

Im guilty of that and I'm more mindful now about it. Sorry if I offended anyone before.

I appreciate Snoopy for moderating!

I think comparing a photo of Gal dressed up to a poorly lit figure shot with dark surroundings is probably a bad example

So the thing we need to bare in mind is this is not a miniature Gal Gadot figure, :slap

it is Gal as WW in BVS that HT is trying to do

The expression is still bad but I think HT was trying to capture this expression from Gal again as WW

IMO I still need to see better natural light shots of this figure or better lit pics before I decide that HT really missed the mark :lecture
