They both look the same, just the colors are brighter because its "newer" timeline-wise.
I think I prefer the muted colors better. Either one of them look great though.

I'm more concerned about the head sculpt.

Yeah I'm kinda preferring the BvS colors as well now. It has a more aged and weathered look which I like, the leather straps are positioned a lot better across the front, and it doesn't have those cheesy abs painted onto her torso. And the colors on the HT figure actually look even better, I think.

The only downside... is that it's from BvS.

1 Harley SS

Seems a bit unfair for the other main characters of BVS to only get 1 figure like the other main characters of SS but the Joker and Batman get multiples.

I don't think there's that much of a difference in colour, actually.

If we ignore for a second the fact that BvS was colour-graded to be desaturated and that the WW-movie looks VERY saturated by comparison... The picture above of WW and Supes has a yellow cast to it, which affects the vibrancy of the colours in her armour.

Aside from that, the biggest difference I'm seeing is that in the WW-movie version her red armour is burnished in some areas and not in others; most of it is very dark except for parts of the bust and the abdomen.

The red might be painted a bit more vibrantly and the boots might be slightly different, but I'm not seeing a ton of other differences at the moment.

After watching the trailer, there really doesn't seem to be any significant costume changes. So the next figure will probably be the same except new accessories, the coat, and a new base.

Yup just brighter and newer.

I would prefer a new HS

As someone pointed out the "sash" goes in a different direction in the WW film. They'll be a new HS for sure, it'll be like Black Widow where the changes are minimal and sometimes can't be really pointed out but the HS will be different. They'll be her Themysciran look for sure:



and I'm sure for the standard Wonder Woman they'll hang her hair closer to her face like we've seen a few times in the trailer.

Nothing unusual here... Batman and Joker sell, simple as that... look at how many Iron Man figures there have been, compared to the rest of the Avengers... he sells far more than the others!

Also, the simple fact is that Batman wore 3 different outfits in BvS, Superman and Wonder Woman only wear one costume.

They are not the same. It's not major differences but it's not the same.

See how the gold trim is softer in the BvS version? The lines are smooth, rounded and blunted. The new armor has hard edges and corners. Instead of following the breast shape it has angles. The midsection has the same changes. It's subtle but it's def not the same. And it's not just the colors

Sales drive it all. On the DC figure side batman is 1, joker 2(ahead of superman) for hot toys. And as you said, batman had more costumes. And you can't say SS (or BvS for that matter) only has one of each character since we have no idea how many they will have eventually. The movies not even out yet. And they can't release 15 SS figures at once without any idea how they sell or how the film does. Plus, it would be bad business as most people don't buy every version. If they space them out even those that only buy one version will end up buying more/upgrading and selling their old which is good for hot toys.

Well HT Ada Wong was nearly seamless so I wouldn't put it past HT to have gone all the way with this one. The legs will most likely be separate from the torso those since the hip joint would be covered up by the skirt anyway.

I see it. I'm still deciding whether its enough of a change for me to cancel my PO and wait for the WW version...

Shrink Charlize Theron and you'll be happy. But I would keep the head, though, it looks more like Gal Gadot than that thing HT has made, and you can always make a Furiosa

At this point though, I just want any BvS figure to release to put with Supes so he's not so lonely.

I love Wonder Woman so much I might just have to buy this even though I hate the seamless body and am disappointed in the sculpt. Are the horror stories of rubber bodies true? Like will they crack and leave me dead inside? Everything else is TOP NOTCH though, I just don't want a figure that's only gonna last me a couple years.

Cancelled my pre-order. Can't get over the head sculpt. I'll wait for the WW version.
