I enjoy all the whining about the announcement in regards to product delays etc. Yet the site is polluted with wish list, polls etc. wanting different lines to be made or lines to be completed without thought or care what it'd do to their production delays.

HT makes an announcement from a line that must sell pretty well with all the milking of the character and **** hits the fan. I have zero interest in the line so I really do not care about the announcement but the thread is full of win rotfl

People are wishing, polling, etc for different lines because they want something other than Iron man now! :lol

HT has finally hit the point where we the collectors are saying "No, enough is enough." The Hall of Armors was the beginning of the end. Way too over priced for what you're getting. These will be the same way if they are fully articulated figures and not just statues. The reason some want a Mark 3 3.0 is because they missed out on the first two and want one at non-ebay prices. Making one out of metal and selling it for those ebay prices isn't what anyone was asking for.

I agree. I was not whining about the announcement,
I would simply rather Hot Toys concentrate on finishing up
the stuff they announced than try to break old "new" ground.

I just got a Mark III for $300, just to finish up the marks to date.
I will not pay $400-$500 for a new figure of one of these,
as they are fine the way they are currently made.

Hot Toys is just upset about the "Super Alloy" series taking
some of their sales away. I had no interest in those either,
so HT doing it does not change that.

The prices are getting way over-inflated as it is, let alone start
making these out of Die-Cast, then moving on to Sterling Silver and Plated Gold editions. :lol

Looking at my collection of Iron Man figures... I'll be honest. I don't think Die Cast would improve many of them. The Mark I, War Machine, and Iron Monger already look extremely realistic. They already look like they're made out of metal with great wear/tear thanks to the excellent paint applications. I suppose I'd highly consider buying a Die Cast Mark 3... but that's because I don't already own one.

:lecture can't agree more.

Even a friend of mine who's a hardcore IM collector is starting to get real sick of HT iron man remakes. :lol

I want a Mark III 2.0 because the proportions are *** on the previous one. But I agree with where you went with your points for sure.

Exactly! I owned the previous 2 and I sold them because I wasn't happy with the proportions. Some may be satisfied with those versions but considering how far HT has gone making IM figures, they most definitely should improve on that design. Honestly if it's indeed a figure with articulation then fine, make the Mark III in diecast. Hey, maybe it'll be their way of making it into a DX with premium materials and a RDJ pers sculpt.

Well, one thing's for damn sure; ain't a single one of these getting a flying stance. I'm interested in Whiplash sort of.

Well, this is the only way they will continue to reign supreme as the undisputed 1/6th champs!

If one company is doing it, they better jump in and crush that sh!+ quick! That way they dilute the smaller company's sales and corner that market. It's the nature of capitalism...can't be mad at that.

When has that ever been a good thing for consumers? That's right, never.

Can ANY of you guys read?!?! :thud::dunno

I never said it was good for consumers!!! You really think Hot Toys, or most companies for that matter, give two flying f|_|€ks about what's good for consumers?!?!? :lol:lol:lol.

They care about making money...that's it. And if you believe anything contrary to that, "...you're living in a dream world, Neo."

Starting to say "enough is enough" on IM. Those folks must have a real thick skulls. IM jumped the shark long ago :rotfl

Prices "getting" over inflated.....welcome to the party pay :wink1:

It was a DX 2.0, meaning it was just the second DX, not the second time they did the purple suit. I doubt HT will label this .0 anything because it would only emphasize their extreme milking here.

eh, tomato--tomahto :lol

Only one I'd want from this line is the MKIII though but still WITH all the additional gadgets to pop on or whatever like the plastic versions. That's what I don't like about the Play Imaginative one, it's just the suit with lights. no missles, or anything

If HT should rerelease figures for people who missed out on the the first time and have to resort to Ebay prices, then we will be getting rereleases for the next 100 years of the same figure.
Oh why won't Ferrari rerelease the F40, I missed it 30 years ago. If you missed it, oh well pay the price and move on so we do not get the same crap over and ovedr again.

I can't seem to find the part where they mention making a Whiplash in the final battle scene!

This is what they wrote on their facebook. I suppose it doesn't mean they're definitely making one, but they do mention it by name:

Hot Toys is going to present a series of 1/6th scale Diecast Collectibles ranging from Iron Man 1, 2 & 3 to The Avengers to fans worldwide! Fans, are you expecting a Diecast Iron Man Mark III, Super Drone (Whiplash Mark II) or any others?

A series of Diecast collectibles is coming soon! Stay tuned!

Didn't OMG say these were basically gonna be statues?
Really? That would be a little disappointing. :(

I don't own any Iron Man figures yet (was gonna get the Avengers one as my first), but for the last few years I've been anticipating a die-cast one, so I thought this was a pretty neat announcement. But I don't think I'm buying if it's REALLY expensive (like over $300), or if it can't be posed very well.

The new Iron man line do not mean IM3, what the artical said is a IM line (MK III ~ VI ???) with a simplify design (meaning cheaper ?)

An all new 1/6 Ironman series .....

This new Ironman line has no to very limit articulation, the pose is some what fix with interchangeable parts.
