Damn, that's a hefty price tag. What's funny is that, when it comes to older marks, that's probably pretty close to what you paid for the actual figure. Makes me glad I'm not an Iron Man fan. I already have one foot in the grave with my Batman addiction, this kind of **** would be liable to finish me off.:lol

Re: Hot Toys - DS001A-C - Iron Man 2: 1/6th scale Hall of Armor Collectible Specs & P

Okay. I was totally wrong about the price. $800 is F'ing insane.

Re: Hot Toys - DS001A-C - Iron Man 2: 1/6th scale Hall of Armor Collectible Specs & P

Terrible!! What the ****** is HT thinking?? They made enough money man!!

Re: Hot Toys - DS001A-C - Iron Man 2: 1/6th scale Hall of Armor Collectible Specs & P

I know this is out of topic.. but I can't get it out of my head

Did Hot Toys ever say anything about this armor??

Price is just too much. This should just have been $50 max for the singles, $190 for set of 4 and $320 for the set of 7. I'm gonna pass but if the price goes down, I'll just get one. That's a BIG IF though.

How I wish the price for the singles were just $35-$45. Hehe...

My post where I hoped for a collective voice?...I think this is finally the moment where collectors from both sides of the planet are in total agreement.

I don't know what collectors do to make their voices heard in regards to changing a sculpt...but whatever it is, we NEED to make our voices heard with this price tag. Spam their Facebook, send them email, ANYTHING. And in the event they don't readjust this ridiculous, seriously...guys, DON'T BUY THIS SET.

I REPEAT: IF THEY DON'T LOWER THE PRICE, DON'T BUY IT.

Really, this is effin ridiculous. I mean we've sat idly by and let them raise their prices. Response? Can't afford, don't buy. But a display stand with NO MOVING parts and a couple of STICKERS??????

This is the one time where I honestly believe we can make a change in their pricing structure and overall attitude. Those that don't believe me, fine, g'head and buy them. But just so you know, you won't benefit with this in the long run.

To bad because these look really great and would have been a great way to display the Marks.

Way way too expensive.

Re: Hot Toys - DS001A-C - Iron Man 2: 1/6th scale Hall of Armor Collectible Specs & P

Damn.. Such a disappointment. I've been waiting for these since they posted the teaser. This is just extortion. Pass.

Re: Hot Toys - DS001A-C - Iron Man 2: 1/6th scale Hall of Armor Collectible Specs & P

I'm truly staggered by the cost of these, I really wanted the 7 set as well.

What the actual **** are HT thinking asking for that kind of price!?

Not buying this based on principle.

I agree with you...but do you DO know that if HT sells it, there will be people who buy it right? And even if they incur a loss on this, they can raise prices on figures, for example, to make back their money. It's really a win win for them :dunno

Sucks that they have a semi-monopoly on the 1:6 scale market...

Re: Hot Toys - DS001A-C - Iron Man 2: 1/6th scale Hall of Armor Collectible Specs & P

This thing costs more than the Hulk maquette, '89 Tim Burton Batmobile, and is right there in price next to the Sauron PF.

Seven empty boxes... and, no, you don't get 7 painted plates. You get stickers! :rotfl

I guess only 2 people out of this site would buy em, averone and thejosh. :lol

Re: Hot Toys - DS001A-C - Iron Man 2: 1/6th scale Hall of Armor Collectible Specs & P

I wasn't very interested in these when I first heard of them, which seems like a year ago. Now, that the price has been unveiled I absolutely don't want them. I also passed on the gantry set. My long standing rule about HT Iron Man is that I only want one version of each Mark. The newer versions of the Mark I and II didn't even turn my head. This year I've been working to get the Avengers team and I feel like that has been plenty with how much they cost.

Re: Hot Toys - DS001A-C - Iron Man 2: 1/6th scale Hall of Armor Collectible Specs & P

wow.... now i actually really look forward to seeing in-hand pics of these.

thats a shame since there won't be any :lol

Nah. TheJosh will prob laugh at those prices too. I figured $100 for one on the high end. $50-65 sounds about right. $135. Boy I was way off.

I agree with you to a point. There will no doubt be a few buyers picking this up unfortunately, but I hope it's just a few...like...5. HOPE.

As for the loss thing, well...I don't know if any company wants to see loss on ANY product they produce. They can in theory raise the price on another item to make up for the loss...but that method is sort of a crutch and IMO I think most if not all try to avoid that. Now that HT have become greedy, that means they want to see income, not loss, on EVERYTHING.

Like I said earlier, this is the first time where collectors on both sides of the planet are voicing their disdain with the price. HT make products to please most fans, but I honestly believe they want to cater to their Asian audience, home field. Sorta like Nintendo. Make products that sell in Japan, then think of other countries. If the Asian crowd is up in arms about this, along with other countries...this is the right time where all of us can finally make HT listen and HOPE they do something about it.

Like a poster here said, it's like extortion now. Eff them.
