Now imagine them making TDKR batsuit box...

Preorder Price: 899.99, or am I being too generous? LOL

Re: Hot Toys - DS001A-C - Iron Man 2: 1/6th scale Hall of Armor Collectible Specs & P

Oh and one more thing to add. I am a huge batman fan. Especially anything related to Nolanverse. If HT were to release an armory display for batman with an outrageous price, I can guarantee you it will not be purchased by me. I like HT, I like their products. But on basic principle, I won't support them if they do arrogant, asinine things like this.

Re: Hot Toys - DS001A-C - Iron Man 2: 1/6th scale Hall of Armor Collectible Specs & P

Come to think of it, that's actually a pretty good reason for non-Iron Man collectors to jump onboard with the fight against overpricing. If collectors nipped this in the bud right now, then, maybe, if they did do other dioramas from other licenses, we wouldn't have to go through it again.

Re: Hot Toys - DS001A-C - Iron Man 2: 1/6th scale Hall of Armor Collectible Specs & P

I dont understand why the high price tag? Hot Toys just want to jack the price up because they can. It should be around $30 max each for them boxes!!!

WOW! The Hong Kong prices look good compared to the SS prices. WHO THE @#*% is going to spend $800 for a set of 7? You can get and Iron Monger and a Hulk and still have enough left to get a Whopper from Burger King.

Nah man, you'd still have some left to eat a steak from Peter Lugers.

Re: Hot Toys - DS001A-C - Iron Man 2: 1/6th scale Hall of Armor Collectible Specs & P

I really, really wanted these. I've got all of the Marks so far on the hall of armor stands they've already released. But $800 for $7 of them is just too much. Even $100 a piece was too much. $400 is more than fair for a set of 7 IMO. And I'd be more than willing to buy the updated singles after that (new mark stickers) at a slightly higher price. HT waiting way too long to get these out. When you have 7 armors already and need 7 displays for them, that adds up fast. $75 for one here and there, no problem.

HT is just insane on their prices. Sideshow wouldn't even charge this much and it would have been made of polystone and not plastic.

Maybe I've been collecting too long, but I remember when HT added a FULL RIPLEY figure to the Power Loader for FREE after the fans thought it was too much. A full figure! Free! What happened to that Hot Toys? More and more they've been removing listed accessories (MK 1 2.0 stand) after ordering rather than adding anything for free. I think HT finally made the straw that will break the camel's back with these. I hope it finally humbles them. Kings don't last long in this day and age. Their reign is over.

Re: Hot Toys - DS001A-C - Iron Man 2: 1/6th scale Hall of Armor Collectible Specs & P

My gosh... That is ridiculous, $799.99 for 7 is insane. Ironmonger was worth it but this is just dumb.

Re: Hot Toys - DS001A-C - Iron Man 2: 1/6th scale Hall of Armor Collectible Specs & P

The price is crap, should be less, just like all Hot Toys items . . .

but those hologram specs are GENIUS. It outlines the figure? That's fantastic. I don't have any Iron Man figures, but the 7 hall of armors all lined up with the corresponding figures would be the perfect display. I can't wait to see collection pics, I'm sure it'll be classy.

Soooo, this is the first of a new Diorama Series? DS001A?

ARMOR VAULT PLEASE!

what options do we have though? since SS 1/6 is subpar and EB have crappy QCs :lol

Re: Hot Toys - DS001A-C - Iron Man 2: 1/6th scale Hall of Armor Collectible Specs & P

If you think the price for these is crazy, you willing to drop $560+ on Batvault? You know how much hinges have gone up in price lately :lol

These will tank and be the one and only DS series release unless HT come to their senses and lowers the price, or adds something to make them worthwhile. Make Pepper and Hogan exclusive to the set of 7, without raising the price, and people will give in.

Re: Hot Toys - DS001A-C - Iron Man 2: 1/6th scale Hall of Armor Collectible Specs & P

I'm with u bring on any Batman dioramas!!!!

And T2 Steel mill giant cogs that we can have DX13 get his hand caught in, chains that he can be lowered into the molten steel, grated floors he can be impaled through, sliding steel beams to smash against his head...or our own heads when we see the prices HT are charging for them.

A missconception that polystone is a more expensive/better material.

Polystone is far to brittle to be moulded as such multiple thin small parts... and the injection mould used by HT for ABS plastic is far more expensive the the soft silicone moulds used for "polystone" statues.

Re: Hot Toys - DS001A-C - Iron Man 2: 1/6th scale Hall of Armor Collectible Specs & P

Hot Toys thinks that collectors are dumb and will pay the high prices for their plastic toys. They are not selling anything because I'm not buying. The stuff they put out are just plastic with lights that cost $0.50. The Hall of Armor cost like $5 to make in China. We need to stop supporting their greed!

Re: Hot Toys - DS001A-C - Iron Man 2: 1/6th scale Hall of Armor Collectible Specs & P

And from Terminator, I want this, realized by Hot Toys of course.

And some steel mill stuff of course. I want my T-1000 to ram my T-800 in the face with a girder.

Re: Hot Toys - DS001A-C - Iron Man 2: 1/6th scale Hall of Armor Collectible Specs & P

Also have to consider the fact that there is BIG market for HT AND Iron Man stuff in China. Just take a look at IM3, why do you think it's filming in China with a Chinese actor? If a movie studio sees the money making opportunity in China, I don't see how a toy company based in Hong Kong can not make the same decision.

But we wouldn't get 7 armor suit vaults would we? Just 1.

Um, don't buy it? I think that's the best choice - if these companies won't produce what I want at a reasonable price and level of quality, I will simply save my money. These are a frill, in the grand scheme of things, as is collecting. Much bigger things to be fretting about. If it becomes a painful nuisance rather than a fun hobby, then what the heck is the point? :monkey1
