Here is a possibility...

Hot Toys is expanding and growing very quickly. Perhaps they went with a new factory with the intent of producing the Star Wars line. As a DC Direct fan, I noticed terrific lines (Justice, Hush) and real sub par lines (Crisis on Infinite Earths). I'm pretty sure I read this was due to the different factories.

I guess what is also telling is not only are there no pics 9 days out but this is a figure that has been in the works for well over a year and there is nothing concerning the follow up Han Solo nor Prequel character that what mentioned at Comic Con 2011.

We will find out very soon.

Yeah, have to admit I'm a bit stunned. It was IG-88, along with the Boba and the Luke protos that hooked me into this line. I remember back in February lying awake thinking $300.00 was a lot to spend on action figures (until I got into collecting *sniffs*) but decided to pre-order on the strength of those awesome HT protos, assuming it'd be at my door sometime in May. Here we are in October and still no production pics. :/ Yep, prepared to be bitterly disappointed, for sure. But at least I have this thread. Now I see the funny side! *gets punched in the face by HT*

I have this image of Hot Toys staff looking in this thread and not understanding English but every 5 posts they see a Gif of John Goodman flipping the table and then look at each other with a worried look.

Haha, yep, I can imagine there's a lot of worried glances being exchanged among HT staff (probably Sideshow, too).

Yes and we all know what happened with Indy......(and I was OK with him) but the truth is Hamill proto HS looked very good but newest pics looked very bad..Indy stayed consistent with proto pics...

Yes, this pattern smells horribly similar to the INDY experience.

Me too. I thought this was expected in November or more, not in 9 days.


My gut tells me now that this HT Luke is going to be somewhere in the middle, much like Indy. It won't be great, it won't be horrible... but it won't be the Luke we all wanted. Like Indy.

HT /Lucasfilm collaborations.....same size DX box..almost same time of year release.......big letdown.............go figure

Some of the fixes and upgrades on him have been really nice though I must admit. There is a custom TOD indie in the thread and it looks amazing. (not saying we should have to do these things but still..)

Not sure how you could mod Luke... Maybe put the Vader helmet on?

Eh, it's not the post count it's the content. I mean, it's whatever, I get that your upset with HT's current stuff but sheesh it's the same post over and over. Like a tirade. I wasn't trying to start anything, I was just fooling around anyway.

Me too mate, it's only a laugh anyway, it amazes me sometimes how serious people get on here. I suppose the humor is sometimes lost in words alone, but I will never get upset by a toy. Ever. I enjoy the drama on here though when this type of **** goes down, it's very entertaining.
Real life is stressful, not 1/6th scale figures.
