Even if the PERS does not break or the rubber does not rot. We should not think of HT as an investment. Sure some of their first Movie Masterpiece figures have increased in after market value (AVP preds). But, many others have decreased due to higher production quantities and/or improved reissues.
Yeah. I consider the increased value a possible perk, not a guarantee. These things are so fragile, and the rate at which Hot Toys advances so great, that the value can really go downhill in a hurry.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the ears aren't going to be a problem getting him into the car because he won't be able to bend at the waste to sit in the car in the first place :gah:

Even if you managed to get him to fit in the Batmobile, I wouldn't keep him in that position long. It would stress the rubber over time and start to tear.

Now up at Forbidden Planet for all the UK Freaks

FP p!$$ me off. I preordered 3 little Star Wars figures off them and I get an email saying they're awaiting restocks? Wtf? When the hell did it come 'into stock' in the first place? Why wasn't my order fulfilled with that initial stock? Why are they keeping preorders open when they can't get enough to fulfil those orders? Anywhere else you preorder something you get it, no probs.

Does any one know if they take the payment upfront or only on despatch?
I can't see any info about it on their site.

When it comes in

Well it seems that even if they are to order and due the next day, come midnight they are "sold out", where as the truth is they haven't got them in yet, after a while when they do get them they come into stock "again".

If HT said you could have this Batman this week if you pay $500.00 for him, would you give in and do that or would you wait until March 2012?

:mwaha :wave :mwaha

I thought they fixed the PERS system? The rubber suit will rotted away?

There has been a small amount of broken PERS just like there has been some broken wrists and some broken knees and so on and so on. It's a 1:6 collectible that people pick up and repose and handle so there's bound to be breakage from time to time. Not enough to worry about.

As far as the rubber goes there has been issues with certain figure suits like the DX Batman but no "rotting away" of suits that I know of. That's only exaggerated speculation.

HT as an investment? For most of them, sure. I change up my collection all the time by selling older figures to fund new ones. It's one way I'm able to stay in this expensive hobby. I may have at the least broken even on every HT figure I've sold. Most of the time I get more than what I paid for it.

They take payment when they ship. I never rely on FP or FP International (the worse of the two by a long shot btw) for things i really want. Both have cancelled preorders in the past. FPI have done that and not even had the decency to inform me! I've ordered Batman from FP as a backup, just in case something happens with my other supplier, but i never trust them 100% to come through.

Hey off topic but I hit the link to jump into this page and got a weird pop up saying that the pages got unresponsive and if I wanted to kill the pages. Have any of you got this, its the first time i've ever seem it on the freaks board and thinking its a possible bug like the windows recovery bug.

again its off topic but it happened when trying to access this thread specifically so thought i'd bring it up.

There've been several cases of the suits "melting" as a result of the leakage. It's not exaggerated by any means. Same thing is happening with Comedian too.

I wanna hear more about NON-leaky rubber figures rotting away. I don't expect this figure to leak.
