I always hear that Nikons are the best....the D7000 and other similar models, then Canon, then Sony.

You're probably right, after a certain parameter is met i'm sure all the brands are of equal quality.

Hmm, not sure why someone would buy that over a DSLR.

$750 for a point-and-shoot (on crack) seems like a lot to me.


If someone just wanted to photograph toys and was really really on a budget they could get these two items for a total of $498 and be much happier I think:

Depends on who you ask.


Nikon was universally hailed as the king of film cameras. However, when digital came out they had a stick up their butt about it and didn't get on the digital train until later then others. Many believe that Canon makes the best DSLR's for this reason.
