It is amazing though, this new DX 14 mime head makes the DX 08 look "inferior" or dated, from the wrinkles in the forehead, to the cheeks and the chin.
Not that the DX 08 is bad by any means, farthest from it. It's fantastic. When it was initially shown it was "the best sculpt ever" too. It's just the jump in sculpting has improved dramatically from when it initially debuted to now.
DX08 is still a great figure but Hot Toys could easily top it now

I think one thing that makes a big difference is the pers seems a lot better, with what looks like more of a top eyelid, eliminating the big wide eyed look most pers figure end up with.

The eyes in DX08 are improvable...I can't see in DX08 Jacks eyes, I don't know why.
I remember a custom here in this board, with only a few paint around the eyes that looks far better.
Don't get me wrong, great figure (DX08) by the way.
It's always good to melty face repaints but if I must be honest I've seen much better melty face paints of the DX08 than that one. Rory's for one is crazy good.
I think I may have to get all the Jack Joker variants even though I swore off variants. Only complaint is that Keaton Bats would be horribly outnumbered.

I already know how I'd pose him. Joy buzzed in hand with his open palm outstretched toward you, head tilted back, eyes positioned down toward you with that evil ****ing smile! Come on! That would be awesome!
It's amazing the likeness they managed to pull out of such a small scale. It really does look like him. Most other companies could care less, it would have sold regardless. The Batman looked great too, Keaton all around. Awesome period of collectibles.
edit: After remembering that link salla put up about the Kenner Batman cowl prototype they probably sculpted it in 1/1 and shrunk it. Either way, still a good likeness.

I thinking of painting my xtra jokers hands to white for extra options but not a big modder. Any advice on paint would help to cover the old purple hands.
Is is me or is Yulli really knocking it out of the park these days? Really interested in seeing her next sculpt aside from Jack.
This is truly a beautiful figure. My only gripe is that this DX is priced at $230 before shipping with 4 extra hands, a pen, a stand and a backdrop. Does it really deserve to be DXed?
The more people order this DX, the more it proves that we are willing to spend more for less. Only for the completionist.
For me - I've gotten more for less. At first I thought a DX release would be an iconic character loaded with extras, PERS and a probable 2nd sculpt to customize another figure. After the news of the DX14 - I'm not so sure now. DKR - Bruce Wayne - Crippled version with robe and cane is not too farfetched now is it? EX it with Mom's pearl necklace is now totally plausible.
Mix feelings on the direction for the DX line.

She better be. Afterall, this is her second time to sculpt Jack Nicholson. DX11 was her Nth time with Heath Ledger, followed only by her Nth time to scuplt Arnie with DX13.
Well she nailed Jack pretty good the first time and did a great job on this one. Her Ledger and Arnie is still off when compared to her Jacks.
Her next sculpt will really define her skills. So far Kojun is better IMO but if she keeps up this kind of work - That would silence the critics.
I agree she still hasn't nailed Arnie. DX10 improves in some ways but takes one or two steps back in others.

True that. Actually, DX08 was the last Yulli sculpt that I was most impressed with, until this. I have both DX 11 and DX 10, but I still feel most impressed with DX08, especially since it's Yulli's first take on Jack Nicholson. And yes, her next sculpt should really be very good. Same thing with Kojun, whose work IMO is very inconsistent and lackluster compared to the newer HT sculptors whose works he oversees.
Yeah, its about time to let someone else take a swing at it.
Although, we really don't if someone had and Yulli's was the one that was the best to use. So there is that....

Almost thinking of ordering this figure. I have a coupon for $20 off that would soften the blow a bit the more I see pictures of this figure I do really like it and find it unique.
