I ordered from someone on facebook who sold me his personal Pre order. I'm guessing you'd have to pre order before or wait a week until you can pic them up in a Hong Kong shop?

This pics just reminded me of something that I disliked about the original one.

For those who have the new one already:

Are the hands that big or are they better scaled?

Pretty sure the hands are identical but for adding tattoos and trinkets, the poses even look the same. I’m not a fan of the DX15 hands so I have a complete set of DX06 hands I bought last year.

DX06 coats ... was too Hershey brown for me. While Jack’s real coat varies with light, it’s consistently grey looking overall, just sometimes a charcoal, others grey with a splash of green and others gray with a splash of brown.

I like the splash of green -- makes it sea-worthy.

That said I don't like that the DX15 pants are essentially the same color as his boots. Hershey brown.

Pants look dark gray like the DX06 to me.

Regarding Jack's coat, in preparation for the arrival of this figure, I wanted to really nail down a color for his coat to customize. I was happy with my DX06 customization but looking back, it was a bit too pure grey, I wanted to better.

With that, I took a number of clear shots from all the movies, blurred them in photoshop to simplify the color and sampled the midtone from various shots to get the colors below. The one isolated in the lower right is the one I feel is best overall representative of the color.

Looks brown to me, with maybe some smeared weathering... not sure what those gray pants are in the pic you posted.

Maybe he put the DX15 head on the DX06 body?

The fabrics used on the Jack figures are very deceptive depending on lighting and camera, frustrating trying to evaluate the figure off photos, a rare case where I agree that photos don’t always do justice.

That's why i swapped mine for some grey pants! The stripped-down coat-less version in my final photo does NOT have the original DX15 pants on.

The two photos with the coat on do have the original pants.

Hope that makes sense now?!!

No, it's all DX15 apart from the grey pants that I put on him instead of the original brown ones.

Shark is small, if they had put a full sized one on the base it would be huge. It would have been awesome to have a full sized one imo but im happy to have a baby one over nothing.

I wonder if this will be the last Sparrow figure from HT? He seems to sell well, regardless of the quality of the films.

They could still make a COTBP version or a Cannibal 2.0....or a Pirates 6 version if they make a sixth film.

If the Marvel and DCEU figures can sell well no matter how bad some of the movies are, I don't see why Jack Sparrow can't do the same.

If they do a sixth film I could see HT doing another Sparrow, but nothing more.

Hopes are fine, in the coat photos referenced, the pants color looks fine to me. The only costume piece I've seen that's questionable is the jacket, as always.

Jack's like Indy, his boots, vest, shirt, pants, bandana, it all varies slightly film to film, except the coat, that's been like the one constant.

I think a big part of the draw of this figure is that it's a DX figure, and the line was thought to be dead. Also the 06 is highly regarded and sells well above retail. The next Jack wouldn't do as well as this one will.

If there is a another Jack, I doubt it'll be a DX.

I'm not sure what the difference is now between regular release and DX, but I do think this will be the last DX Jack....I mean, the whole line can't consist of Jack figures
