I picked up Anakin yesterday from my usual place, all places in NY rolled right over/psst this Sparrow release and the damn thing has been out for what, 4 months now?
Worst release ever. I got all the parts I needed to upgrade my 06 ages ago. I feel for the guys still waiting for this, I think it's the screwiest release I've ever seen

I canceled my Sparrow because shipping costs is 85$. It was 44 on preorder. They didnt know(bbts) how much it will be before shipping. I could swallow 60$ somehow but cant 85. Hope i will find somewhere else. Congrats who ever got yours figure. Really looks amazing on photos.

First impression, amazing, nearly everything a significant upgrade over the pieces that came with DX06, except the boots, the DX06 boots were a softer, more pliable material and could more easily be shaped, this material is much more rigid.
Having hands for both figures, definitely like a 10-15% decrease in size, but much better variety of gestures with the DX06.
Put him together in about an hour, rusty at it and made a few mistakes with the belts I had to redo, only thing I want to rework really is the sash, particularly the fold over his belts, it's too clean, I've seen some others here where it's less perfect looking and I'll try to model off that.

First let me say congratulations, sir. I know this means more to you than most.
Secondly, nice futz. He looks great.
Lastly -- my god, man -- that grayed coat look stupendous. Really cuts down on the "too much brown" that I don't care for. A must-do mod.
Despite the off-character stern face, aren't the sculpts amazing?
The sculpts are amazing, comparing to the DX06, I would say the biggest difference is the realism, the DX06 skin and overall look has a toy-quality, whereas these look like a living human.
I wish I wasn't working so I could fully enjoy him, but I had to get him at least put together and add my custom parts to finally see it all come together, and I'm thrilled, every bit as good as my customized DX06 and better.
Again, my only gripe is the boots, may even consider DX06 boots if a see a cheap enough auction.

Yeah, I mentioned the boots are a little awkward to work with and need some filling out -- as well as the material being hard to pose.
I pulled the folded part or "flap" -- not sure what its called -- up higher on the leg to help shape it and make it "umbrella" out more, if that makes sense.

Stand came out great and is much bigger than I was expecting, I'll probably use it eventually, just used up my lunch break putting the figure together. Even the alligator belt and mini sword came out nice, I'm just not using them.
I'm using the At World's End hat
Some pics of my Sparrow with EB Hat. I will be sending this hat to Raveneye when I get a spare head piece so that he can use it to make a real leather hat. Let me know what you guys think. I've also completely redressed him with what I feel is the more accurate place settings for the belts and proper sash wrapping with new and stronger magnet
How did you get the sash folded the way it is, the part that goes over his belts and scabbard?
