Damn... that is already looking pretty sweet.

The real hair is looking promising... bring on Chewie :rock

but, be warned, its in japanese and the pic is tiny there. :monkey4

I see Ursus and an ape soldier. My initial knee-jerk reaction when people started calling for "real" hair was "Nah... I don't want that!" But it doesn't look as bad as I'd feared after seeing this tiny teaser pic. If the final figures look that good, I'll be in Ape Heaven.

The uniform colors look more screen accurate than Sideshow's.

ditto regarding the colors...but I'm still not convinced about the wig. It's gotta wow me, and so far it doesn't.

I can't imagine HT trying something as bold as this and not working out all the kinks. Especially considering the POTA license isn't being supported by recent movie media hype.

Ursus is one of the Sideshow apes I didn't get so I might be up for this one, but I'm afraid the price on these is gonna be bananas. :monkey3 :monkey4

Yeah, I agree. I'm not wowed but I was deathly afraid I'd be horrified and the fur would look like something you'd win at a carnival game to hang from the rearview mirror. I'm relieved that it looks decent so far, this early in the process. We'll see for sure when big pics go up.

And I can't wait!

and a 1:1 Nova!!! :monkey5

That's kinda funny. When I first got online and found out about Ebay, the first thing I did was go ape-crazy bidding on PotA memorabilia. Mostly the old Marvel B&W magazines...

But thanks to my lack of Ebay savvy, I ended up with not one but THREE autographed photos of Linda Harrison as Nova!

I love those old marvel mags. I have the complete set since they were issued. Actually, I think the Terror storyline would have been a better film than what Burton gave us.
And, if you ever want to part with one of those Nova photos...................

I may do that one of these days! They're from some official memorabilia site that had a deal with her.

I agree about Terror! That's the coolest, weirdest, scariest Apes comic story ever. Completely bizarre. I petitioned Dark Horse and another company to reprint the magazines. Even phonebook/papeback style would be wonderful.

The Curtis/Marvel mags used to give me nightmares!

Man, I think HT is going to be making me eat my words about not needing to upgrade from my SS figures :monkey2

I'm still waiting for Hot Toys to wow me. With all this excitement, unfortunately, that hasn't happened yet...
