Got Tarkin now in my Tantive dio and he looks great. I didn’t think I’d use the chair but it’s come in handy! I now have my SS Emperor sitting in it!

Great pics! Tarkin looks awesome - can't wait to get him!! :rock

Hoping to have Tarkin sometime next week. Already cleared out a shelf in my living room and placed all Imperials inside, just not sure if I'll keep Krennic or just replace him with Tarkin.

Nice display! :clap

Pics look awesome. They really nailed this fig. Stitching does look a smidge sloppy in that one pic though - hope they aren't all like that. Though I imagine the Imperial uniform is super-tough to get the tailoring right because it's so slim with crisp lines.

Beyond the headsculpt, I love little details on this - like a little of the white cuffs showing at the wrists (which was hard enough to do on my Bespin Guard custom, let alone on a wide release fig like this) and the Tarkin-specific "thinking" hand sculpts.:lol

Have to think about those three silver brads that are errors on the belt - I hope whoever took them off can post a closer pic to see how much glue residue is left. I do have a punch that's about the right size for the holes, just don't want glue residue showing, even if you can hide it with a drip of paint.

There was not much residue if honest but what there was actually acted as a guide of where to punch the holes, the edges of the belt should also be undyed but I don't think there will be brown underneath if sanded away

Thanks so much for posting that! Mine should be here early next week so will give it a shot. Looks good.

Also, I need a few of those silver brads for a custom I'm working on, so can use all the little silver buttons I can get my hands on.

I was wondering where you guys were coming from regarding the holes in the belt but I see them now; seems like an obvious oversight.

I think its funny that HT put silver tabs there -- clearly they saw the three "marks" there and assumed it was silver tabs rather than make the logical deduction that its a belt and might be belt holes. :lol

HT actually over-engineered this figure, and spent more money then they needed to.

I didn't even notice the details on the belt. HT put three discs as opposed to belt holes? I suppose that seemed like the obvious answer as to what they likely were that they just had to be something else in HT's mind. I mean, why would there be adjustment holes on one side of a belt buckle? :lol

Tarkin is a must have for my OT collection. might as well get the 2-pack with Vader...like the new gloves and chest box...

I personally prefer the chest box on the MMS279 Vader. The dials on the R1 chest box (chest box they used on ANH 2.0 Vader) are too spaced out for ANH Vader.

Vader - Tarkin set was my first Hot Toys PO to jump into this 1/6 section, cannot wait!

great shots of Tarkin on previous pages btw :)

skewer seems a bit rough. I like the 1mm puncher. Likely makes a clean hole. Where do you buy a 1mm punch?

Easiest way is just search "1mm punch" on eBay - they'll be like a buck or two shipped (though will take many weeks to arrive.)

I just searched for mine and can only find the 1.5mm I got to redo SSC 3PO's eyes. May have to grab another 1mm punch myself.:slap

That box is a little small to my eye - bugs me every time I see that fig. I grabbed the RO box loose (which is the correct size) and I think the spacing is correct even though it looks a little wonky. It just needs more silver paint around the slots - though will be a nightmare to mask - and a slight widening of the switches. A fair amount of finicky work, but I'd rather do that then have a too-small chestbox that there's nothing you can do to fix.
