Yeah the two pack is the smart choice if you want these guys. Same price basically and you get an extra head sculpt for Groot plus an extra pair of hands. My only qualm with the two pack is I hate the nonrefundable deposit thing. I get why they do it but it still sort of irritates me a bit.

I haven't read through this whole thread, so more people may have complained, but the prices are kinda ridiculous. Groot's price is actually really good, I thought I was being overly optimistic in hoping for it to be $250. I just don't understand how Groot is only $40 more than Rocket. I wish the set was $350, as even with the extra stuff you should be able to get some kind of deal or discount (not counting the head and hands.) If they were to have included another Rocket head, it'd have been a bit easier to swallow. As is, Rocket's a bit too expensive and the set should have been cheaper, even if Rocket wasn't.

You know Hot Toys owns you when you think 160 bucks for Rocket is reasonable.

160 dollars for such a small figure is disgusting.

I'm going to preorder this from HK this time, 280usd compared to 350 is way more solid to me.

160 dollars for such a small figure is disgusting.

For some reason I keep wanting to compare Rocket to Sideshow's Yoda. That's only $99 and comes with a fair amount of accessories and is a bit more detailed. I agree Rocket is overpriced and I tend to not be one who complains a lot about Hot Toys' pricing.

As I said, it's even worse when a figure about 2.5x bigger is only $40 more. After seeing Groot for $200, I was hoping Rocket was only $100, but of course he wasn't. Totally rip off. For the set, I'd justify it as $255 for Groot and $105 for Rocket.

These turned out really well and I definitely think people who get the whole team are going to have a really awesome display. Personally, I'm just not into getting these. Rocket was the only one I might have considered, but $160 is beyond the price I'm willing to pay for him.

Groot-has a good price for how big and new mold. Makes it seem Disney gave them a heads up of a sequel so that could have kept price down so they will just reuse him.

Rocket- is priced like he is because he will be the bigger seller of the 5 so they are pocketing more from him.

Also wish people would ***** about SSC jacking the price up and not just HT.

If he sells well Hot Toys may release another version of Rocket later on in the year and add an extra $20 on top of the price.

I just wish they offered a price break for buying the bundle. I know you get a few extra accessories, but a $40 break wouldn't be asking too much. Either that or price Rocket as he should be, around $120 IMO.

This is so very true.

Also, to the one who asked about SS being flexible on the NRD if the movie sucks. SS probably isn't going to help you, they are quite firm with their NRD deposit. I know they used to let you switch it one time between POs, but not sure if they do that anymore. Better off seeing the movie and then deciding.
