The way I look at it is rocket is about $40 too much and Groot is cheaper then I expected by about $50 at least SO the two pack still was in the ballpark.

As for the ordering this before I see the movie stuff. I saw the 17 minute preview and it was fantastic , But really I was always going to order these because of my love for the actual comic characters. I have been a big fan of guardians since the Annihilation reboot of the cosmic verse.

Almost $400 for a set from a movie no one has seen and some of you dont even blink and
eye and place and order. And we wonder why HT prices are so high..

Thats what i was thinking too. Very very happy with Groot's price

I pre ordered the exclusive set. Extra sculpt makes it worth it.

Oh hells yes! Groot looks fantastic! I'm pretty sure the movie is going to rock so i PO'ed as fast as I could. Flexpay as there is an NRD anyways. Wonder how tall Groot will be compared to regular figs.

Now bring on Star Lord!

Ordered! Nothing to do with how the movie is, i just love the characters. That's why i bought the Mandarin, and every other figure i have for that matter. I love these two and they're gonna look great together! Rockets price is high no doubt, Groot is cheaper than expected.

If they were releasing a 5 pack ya think they'd give everyone a heads up before they order this. That's the only thing that'll tick me off, if they announce a 5 pack with even more accessories after everyone orders this.

There is a shot of Groot's back in the promo pics. My guess is that Rocket will stand on one of his arms and you'll have to make him grab on to one of the "vines" of his musculature on his back.

Guardians have just become my most anticipated figures of the year and it's going to be a grueling wait. The Winter Soldier line will tide me over until then.

Man Groot has a great neutral face. In some angles, he actually looks like he's smiling.

SS has his height listed as 15.35 inches. I really like this set but want to wait until I see Starlord at least. Hate to lose $36 because I don't like the rest of the line, they do a 5 pack I prefer or the movie sucks. But I do like this set a lot

I pre-ordered this, because I guess Marvel fans are legally obligated to, but I pre-ordered from BBTS (same price as Sideshow, just broken up into separate figures) because I have no idea if I'll even like the movie and if I don't I would prefer not to lose $36 on a NRD.

Looking at the Groot figure, I'm not going to need the exclusive screaming face sculpt. I like how he's just sort of zen, while Rocket, who I'll be perching on Groot's shoulder, is all kinds of badass, screaming as he prepares to take it to the bad guys. They'll make a nice, comedic contrast.

Got my set preordered. I have very little doubt this movie is gonna be huge and that I'm gonna love it.

I would not purchase a Dr. Ock or Jaggernaut. Zero interest in those.

I'd purchase the crap out of a Willem Dafoe Green Goblin though. So what if he looks like an evil Power Ranger. He's Willem Dafoe. If they gave us a separate Dafoe headsculpt to pop on the figure instead of the mask, it would be Villainy Heaven.
