I love this set! My purchase is contingent upon seeing the movie.

These types of figures are my favorite though... I call them "scale breakers" because they take away the "doll" like look when you have a whole group of 1/6 figures together. I will be curious to see what the rest of the collection will look like! Groot looks spectacular

Soooo it no longer says SS exclusive on their site...

On a side note, I just watched an extended trailer for GotG and I have little doubt that I will love it!! So I think I'll go ahead and pre order the set

Mandarin? Theres no such figure

This actually shows my point, I don't take the movie into much consideration. I thought the figure was a decent visual representation of a "modernized" Mandarin. Regardless of how he was portrayed in the film.

I don't need to love the movie, just the character.

the racoon is so tiny for 160

I still know nothing about these characters but I just can't help being bitter and pissed that HT can make two completely new sculpts for these figures and make this whole team, knowing that two legitimate amazing films in POTA and Xmen are gonna go untouched.. bah.

but for those excited about this film, happy day for you all!

No Jennifer Lawrence Mystique = Me Cry. I've been crying for a very long time now.

The trailers for GotG look pretty awesome, and the cast and the director are also pretty awesome. I mean, Glenn Close, Bradley Cooper, Zoe Saldana, John C. Reilly, Michael Rooker, Benicio Del Toro...and written and directed by James Gunn? This movie is loaded. I know next to nothing about these characters even though I've read a lot of Marvel Comics in my time, but the trailers are giving me a good feeling. If I hate the movie I'll cancel my pre-order with BBTS, but hopefully I'll love it, because a Tree-Man with an angry, gun-toting raccoon perched on his shoulder is something that would look pretty damn cool in my collection. Also, a green woman. And whoever Michael Rooker is playing, if they make him.

So the pricing did start with a '1' for these guys Not too shabby, a nice kick off of the line for collectors.

Sideshow's NRD sucks balls though.

I really like the look of these figures and I would love to have them. But like the BRJ 2.0, I just can't justify spending this kind of cash on these things that are obviously overpriced.

Congrats to everyone who is getting this, but HT has crossed a threshold I may no longer be able to cross.

Ordered! Both look great, the price point is about what I was expecting (though I was thinking Rocket might be $140 and Groot would be $220), the changeable head is nice and everything I've seen about the film has looked fantastic. Will be a little annoying if they do release a pack which has all five characters, but that still seems a little unlikely.

Yeah the two pack is the smart choice if you want these guys. Same price basically and you get an extra head sculpt for Groot plus an extra pair of hands. My only qualm with the two pack is I hate the nonrefundable deposit thing. I get why they do it but it still sort of irritates me a bit.

...and it's making me hesitate on POing it!
