Very nice. I wonder why the took away the bust stand but left a picture of it.

Ok, I admit, I haven't seen the Iron Man movie yet. I plan on buying it when it comes out on DVD at the end of the month. So here comes a stupid question...

What is the small round thing inside the acryllic cube shown in the above pic?

Its a major part of the film. Someone I'm sure will just tell you but trust me the significance is clear once you watch the film.

I now have 3 Mark 02 figures on their way to me.

I pre-ordered the exclusive Ironman Mark 2 when you could get two of them, but now that they are limiting it to one per customer does that affect my pre-order?

Most likely it'll be like the Comic-Con orders for the Star Wars stuff. Meaning they'll honor the ones already in but then limit all new orders to 1

Wow! I am just on board with finding out that the limit got dropped to 1. Glad I got my 2 ordered before that happened.

Edit - I am thinking of displaying the MK II with the open face shield. And using the bust and closed face shield as a compliment to the MK III. Like Having the Tony head sculpt on the MK III looking reflectively at the old armor.

That was my thought as well. The open face mask on the bust wouldn't look right to me. My idea choice though would have had the MK III had the open faced mask head the the MK II with the plain Stark head. Could still put the Stark head on this one though.

I cancelled my pre-order for the Mk III Figure to get the Mk II Figure because of the "free" 1/6 scale Bust!

I know I may regret my Mk III cancellation but my quickly diminishing budget will only allow me to get one Ironman figure and I am thus forced into this decision.

If money is an issue, then you did the right thing by pre-ordering the exclusive limited # from Sideshow. There will be plenty of MK III figure on Ebay after release, and most likely less than retail value as it will be flooded w/ them. When you're ready to buy them, then you can pick it up fairly easily.

I really don't see any shortage of either figure after they are released. And Sidehow is not the only distributor with the Exclusive bust stand.

In reality the Mark 02 shouldn't have come with any alternative head. We never see him out of the mask during that scene. Although I would have liked a half and half head with the Stark side have the visual text that he was seeing inside. The Mark 03 should have had the slide visor since we actually see that in the film and the full Stark sculpt shoudl have come with an Iron Man Battle Damaged. The weird thing is that I know that HT will do a Mark 03 Battle Damaged as he took hits in Golmera and during the Iron Monger fight. They can't help themselves and go to it when they can (I'm actually surprised we didn't get fight damage Rocky alternative heads) so what will essentially come with that?

Im tempted to get a second Mark II just so I can have the open faced helmet repainted for Mark III.. anyone else doing that? What are you going to do with the body?
