I like this version more than HT's Mark III? Is that weird? I dunno what it is...maybe it's the monochromatic paint app? I didn't like the MKII that much in the movie, maybe it's because of the slight deviation in the paint tone that does it for me.

I think Mark II looks cooler. Didn't have much of a role in the film but I really like the look of it - I really like the rivets.

I wasn't gonna buy the Mark II, but now that I know the Mark I is coming out, I'm buying the Mark II just so I have all three.

I missed the Sideshow exclusive, but that's alright with me. I'm not an exclusive hunter.

That's how they got me as well... still might cancel them before they ship. But for now I'll at least entertain the idea of having all 3.

I finally got to see the Iron Man movie last night. I was kind of disappointed that the Mark II armor didn't get more screen time. After seeing the movie I'm thinking about canceling my reservation for the Mark II exclusive and gamble on a HT releasing a Mark III battle damaged version with open helmet or a War Machine figure from IM2.

I just got a look at a high res scan of the magazine shots (finally was able to read the text) and the Mark 2 will have rivets on his helmet for the final version.

does the paint on the mk. III look different to anyone in this pic? i think it looks way better here then i have seen in many other pics

Yeah, the paint on the MK 3 looks shinier.

They look sweet together there.
Can't imagine how cool all 3 of them will look lined up!

Yeah, the earlier MKIII pictures looked like they had been hand finished (prototypes so that would be most likely) the above picture looks great, like the Robocop paint finish.

Part of me wants to cancel the Mark II and just bookend the I and III, but honestly its pretty badass and hard to pass up. Also, having the exclusive on order makes it more tempting to keep.

HT knows how to rangle me in.

It's hard for me to pick my favorite. But that Mark 1 is just so cool....
