I really don't like this magnetic base trend. My Gandalf fell over cause he was holding his sword. I absolutely do not trust those bases with their weak *** magnets. They're a real liability.

or any base trend over the past couple years

I am getting new cabinets done for my home office with glass doors so thankfully I won't have to use the bases now. After the MOM Scarlet Witch deluxe base fiasco I hope never to have to use them again

So they are definitely going to go through and do every version of Black Widow as an artisan, correct?

Am I misremembering because I thought they had developed new knee joints for these bodysuit types of figures? These ones look old and horrible.

No, Hot Toys never makes statements like that. I'm sure they will never ever revisit Black Widow solo movie appearances of the character again let alone in Artisan form. We are lucky if we can get Winter Soldier or Avengers 1 version.

Not a great version of the character from the source film, but it's a great looking figure for sure. Assuming production looks like prototype. But based on about everything I've seen from just about every company, "real" hair ain't easy to get right. I prefer that they just stick with sculpted hair they have 100% control of personally.

Completely agreed, and even if they somehow got it right the "real" hair will age eventually. Sculpted version should be offered with all these releases.

The rooted hair looks pretty inaccurate to my eye on this. Not well done by any stretch of the imagination.

(Disclaimer: Generally not a rooted hair fan here, so there's bias)

Sculpt is passable.

Not exactly sure why HT always has this fascination with BW having the Iron Man gauntlet for the special edition? It’s from an outtake of the movie, nor was she dressed in her BW outfit wearing the gauntlet in that outtake scene. Sigh. I am glad they finally included the mace can to allow fans to recreate that iconic scene. I think they recycled the head sculpt from the Black suit BW from her movie, hence the older looking sculpt.

Damn I forgot all about that, but I never really cared for IM2

Definitely going to try to snag this one even though TWS look is my preferred. The hair isn't entirely styled accurately but hopefully that can be futzed with some work. Headsculpt looks like a modified version of a custom sculpt I've seen and it wouldn't surprise me given that's what they did for Artisan TDK Joker. Not a fan that HT is trying out the magnetic stands but hopefully they've got a better connection than InArt. Sucks that there's no sculpted hair option though.

Lastly, how they hid the cut of the boot for ankle articulation is pretty well done.
