I was cautiously intrigued by this one until the price was announced. Maybe I'll snag it with reward points after seeing in hand photos. I don't see it selling out beforehand.

The increase in price with each figure is a scary thing to constantly see. By the end of the year a stand figure will be $300 or close to it.

So this turned out 5 dollars more than Bandito had predicted - pretty close.

Like all exclusives, it's over priced & I expect it at this point.

that price is just nuts and it ain't even die cast!!

well, they know there are a ton of people who will pay anything. I dont blame them. They smell blood. And why shouldnt they? People are downright insane over anything IM.

Actually I do blame them....Im tired of these prices. Im not even a Marvel guy and I feel sorry for the people who want this. Its not right. The only way it will stall and reverse is if you stop buying them....and we all know that aint gonna happen for most.

People like this design? Wuhh..

This thing doesn't scream $200... don't think any guests would notice the difference from a children's toy.

Oh wat... it's $285. Okay... uh huh.

After the armors went past $300.00 I was out. This hobby is expensive enough. I have marks I - VII, and the original war machine. That's enough for me.

why does it come apart with no stand to hold it? I mean, unless they give you a stand that will hold 7 individual pieces up like that, isnt it pointless? what, they want people to just lay the thing on the shelf in pieces?? what am I missing here??

I can see not liking it (I'm not a huge fan of this particular one myself) but to compare it to a children's toy is a pretty ridiculous statement. I don't think that it's worth $285 but let's be honest the Iron Man line is Hot Toys' bread and butter. In all honesty while I can see why people are sick of it the line overall probably makes a lot of money which can be contributed to other lines down the road. So really it probably benefits collectors even if we don't see it that way.

Thats why I will be picking and choosing between any of the individual armours yet to be released and their eventual kitbash/repaints.

I'm passing because I'm not going all out on the House Party armors, but I can't say that I don't really like the design and that this doesn't look like a quality we expect from HT.

The break apart thing is cool too but how the hell can that be displayed?

I don't think that this is an exclusive. It's not limited to one per person

It says: - One (1) circular figure stage with flexible pillar and armor parts stands but nothing indicates in the pic that there are posts to hold the armor parts

I liked it in the sense it was so different. I am allowing myself around 8 armors total which is really all I could ever afford to display so I have to really be picky. I would have considered this one but at a much lower price point. I definitely will be getting Heartbreaker, Centurion and I am leaning heavily towards Gemini as well. If prices keep going up (which I know they will) I have to save for the few I know I want which is Hammerhead and Shades.

It's probably just not finalized yet because they haven't done anything like that yet. I'm sure they'll figure it out by next year when it releases.

Wow, these Iron man price tags are getting a bit scary. How is this armor more costly than Centurion or Heartbreaker?

I don't want the focus of my collection to be IM. I like variety. With Silver Centurion coming, that will put me at 3 and I think that's good enough. The only other armor I would consider is HulkBuster and even then it would probably be too expensive to buy anyway. Of course I would never say no to a free IM figure, like if I won one, but in terms of purchasing, that's about it for me. They're flooding the market now and think they can release something like this and justify the price tag.
