I went back and checked the retail prices of a few past IM releaes:

Mark I reboot $219.99
War Machine $179.99
Mark VI $209.99
Mark IV Secret Project $214.99
Mark VII BD $294.99
Mark VII reg $249.99
Silver Centurion $249.99
Midas $299.99

This is very overpriced for what we're getting :lol

Yup, I remember the first time I saw a hot toys iron man, I was blown away then I saw the price....:horror About the time iron man 3 was coming around my hype for anything iron man had to be quenched and those damn hts figures caught my eye again. It was game over after that. Ahh to be frugal with my money again.:rotfl

Yea, the price is a turnoff for me, this is going to be a pass. I just want the Mk42 and Heartbreaker, and I'm done with IM3.

Looks cool. This figure is going to require more detailing than the others with all of the exposed innards. I've just sold the majority of my Hot Toys collection and don't plan on buying much else so this is out for me. I still like it though.

I've been waiting for a Bones suit, when I first saw the concept art for the movie of this suit I thought it was really cool looking. Just having picked up Red Snapper over the weekend on discount i'd more than likely will have to wait and wait for this to come down in price, Its really hard to justify buying this at the same Price as a War Machine mk2 DieCast, after playing with the DieCast and picking up a plastic mk VII, the plastic ones just feel incredible "CHEAP". So Bottom line, its a really cool looking suit if you like the style but wow that price is NUTS and Im not paying anything over 200 for one or else I can just enjoy pictures of it.

I bought my first Hot Toys figure; the original Mark 2, for $111 in December 2010. But how times have changed fast.

Re: Hot Toys Iron Man MMS 1/6 " BONES"

Quite impressed that they managed to include that split apart feature. I can actually see QC issues being prominent on this figure though if that becomes a mess. Hope they managed that feature into it properly. Looks like a unique suit all around.

Quite a useless feature without a dedicated base setup to actually display it

The higher price is due to the details, the figure is totally exposed.

It doesn't have a large piece of plastic covering the thighs, chest, etc, it has intricate detailing ALL OVER the figure.

Hot Toys is becoming a one trick pony. These marvel releases are becoming very boring. Its almost sickening

How do you figure that? None of them are straight repaints and each release has been better than and totally different than the next. This Bones figure is creativity at its best, take a closer look at the detailing.
