Hot Toys Mark V Proto is out!!!

Wow...I cant wait to see the Mark V painted, but so far so good...This will be a must have purchase for me.

Kind of interested in the 'Not so Stealth' Iron Man...

Why? It wasn't in the film and therefore has no reason to exist even. It was clearly just made for their Iron Man Customs Expo. We aren't going to get the Sideshow NASA or Racing Iron Mans either

With all these options could this be there next DX figure?Hot Toys did state that the next DX would please the fans.

The article from the japanese cover is prolly a material submitted like a month ago. So I'm guessing and hoping that we are gonna see some final protos soon from HT. And yeah, this is definitely my favorite suit from IM2

The Gunmetal was the odd ball EX of the first line and the Stealth might just be the one from the second.

If its anything that HT has learned over the years, is that people are suckers for repetitions. Look at those preds and T600s. Completists would buy em all.

Did the Gunmetal Grey exist in the movies? No, it didn't. Yet, HT made some and we have them. I just looked at mine a bit ago.

So why wouldn't they make this? Its been made by other companies and hell SS made one of this armor. Little absurd to make a claim they won't make this just because it wasnt in the movie. Seeing as there's nothing to back your statement up.

They won't make it because it says "NOT FOR SALE" for one thing. Second, it said "NOT FOR SALE" at the Expo. There was a bunch of other strange Iron Mans at that Expo too. Why not make those as well?

The Stealth Iron Man was made for the expo, won't be for sale, and is only shown in the magazine to show it off. End of story. If HT does end up making it, I'll eat my hat and order it, but I can't think of another time they've put "NOT FOR SALE" on one of their figures. So I would tend to think they are serious about that.

Well, I believe the Gunmetal Grey Iron man said that before we got a chance to buy it. Also that not for sale could very easily mean that particular piece isn't for sale or this angle on the figure isn't for sale yet. Could be they're just gathering interest in it. Its not like the other figures at the Expo though. Those where all special takes on the Iron Man. This is a legit piece we've seen made by other companies. That in of itself gives plenty of credence in that it has a decent shot of being made. The others won't be cause they're just people having fun with the armor much like SS has done with things at SDCC.

Why doesn't HT do what they did with that man-suit set from the first movie? Make it just a clothing set? They could do Tony's tux from Stark Expo as well.

if you read the other IM threads, you'll find that many people want a racing suit Tony together with the MKV

I for one am curious what this mkv will have. How will they make the metal panel; and on top of that make the figure the right size. Unless they plan to make that suit come off and reveal racer Tony, I want it in good proportions. Off topic - With this being a regular mms could the next dx be reeves superman or an avatar.
