I would be tempted to get a racing suit stark but I want all the armor versions first.
Well, I believe the Gunmetal Grey Iron man said that before we got a chance to buy it. Also that not for sale could very easily mean that particular piece isn't for sale or this angle on the figure isn't for sale yet. Could be they're just gathering interest in it. Its not like the other figures at the Expo though. Those where all special takes on the Iron Man. This is a legit piece we've seen made by other companies. That in of itself gives plenty of credence in that it has a decent shot of being made. The others won't be cause they're just people having fun with the armor much like SS has done with things at SDCC.
The Gunmetal Grey was made as a item just for a store and turned into something they made. I think you better get ready to eat you hat.
It's funny that people are still complaining about the proportions of the MKV...Hot Toys will not get it right, get over it. Look at all the other MKs
i know exactly what you mean... i need all the armors in possession as quickly as possible... i need my IM fix
No the grey version was never marked as "not for sale" to gauge interest before it was released. It was always intended to be sold exclusively at a store and at comic cons.
Well, it was an exclusive for one particular store and just SDCC. I don't recall it being sold any place else but I didnt track the history either. That being said I wouldn't be shocked if we see the Stealth Iron Man figure.
if memory serves the Gunmetal IM was first announced as silly thing HK exclusive in the Milk magazine. Then SSC carried it as SDCC exclusive. And if I am right it was also sold in 2 more comic/anime/hobby convention in asia.

Could a mod please merge the two HT Mark V prototype threads? Seems a bit superfluous.
Anyway, someone on Toy World already photoshopped the magazine scan to 'correct' the proportions. I agree:
Nice. I just don't understand why they keep giving Iron Man a narrow torso.
My guess is that they didn't want this one to be the same size as the Mark IV and VI so what other choice did HT have? They forced themselves into a corner. But this is just conjecture from me.
Eagerly anticipating the official pics. Since this was a magazine scan, the official pics might actually contain some timely alterations to the figure.
