Yeah, the writing would require more thought into what drives his actions after the procedure to have his memory wiped and still have a movie after that. Trouble is, doing that, you'd almost have 2 different plots in one film, a bit strange.

Quite alot of things bugged me with this film. Like its been said, why change his name? In credits it lists his biological father as Thomas Logan, but why take the name of the man you just killed. Regardless of whether he was his biological father, he wasn't the father he grew up with that he knew, loved and killed for.

Also when the adamantium is being bonded to his skeleton, how did the claws form on the hand that Sabertooth snapped off? Or is it just assumed that those three grew back. I dont know

And why would a adamantium bullet pass through his adamantium skeleton since the damn stuff is meant to be indestructable.

I need to watch it again so maybe theres things I didn't notice but alot of things bugged me that have to ignore and take with a pinch of salt.

Regardless I still enjoyed the film. But God damn some of those plot holes...

The bone claws, I think you're to assume they grow back and heal like the rest of him, which makes sense.

As for bullets going through him, it's a bit of fantasy that adamantium can be pierced only by more adamnatium. Makes sense though, like with Deathstryke stabbing him in X2.

I was just about to type this.. these were my thoughts as well.

Theres something that bothered my a little about the idea of bone claws. If you were to hit someone with some sort of protruding bone from you hands would that not hurt immensely? Even just snap the bone and maybe the bones in your arm (or whatever if any bones they are attached to.)

I think his claws, although bone, are made of a denser type of bone or something in comparrison to the rest of his body. Also he has a incredibly high pain threshold, regenerative healing factor or not

Yeah, I imagine the bone claws are something fairly strong, not indestructable, but able to withstand things. Think about like shark teeth, they bite with great power and rip into things, but their teeth can still be lost or damaged.

Wolverine's healing powers mean that any damage to them will heal anyway.

He does comment on the pain in X1, Rogues asks if it hurts when they come out, and he remarks everytime.

The bit where Creed snaped his bone claws on the railway tracks got me thinking of what kind of pressure would be needed to snap the bones and how he reacts to the snap seems like it should mean that he gets hurt every time he hits the claws of another human (like in the intro war scene)

Well think about your own bones, if you hit something with your fist, it might smart, but nothing major, now take the same bones and having some break them and you'll be screaming and in agony. Breaking parts of your body versus striking them against things are totally different sensations.

Bone claws did clear up the myth about how did they graft claws onto his bone strucre and also how do they come in and out. Not sure how you'd create new muscles for that. So overall I really like the bone claw idea.

Yup, I always scratched my head a bit with X1-3, what sort of medical procedure could add functioning claws, plus, how do you get the brain to basically activate them because it wasn't like Spiderman tapping his wrist or anything, they could come out no matter his hand posture. A naturally occurring funciton like his bone claws really makes it make sense.

Just like the Jimmy to Logan it's nice for a film to clear things up for those who never read the comics. With all the sorce material especially for a character like Wolverine it's hard to know what to read for what.

^Ya, in Wolverine #75

Why did he go from Jimmy to Logan? I never understood that. Did he take someone else's identity at some point? A good comic to read to find the info?

It was his biological fathers name. Never explained in the movie but there is a mention in the comics. Confirmation of the comic anyone?
