That's how I roll, I've never understood confining to a specific product type, I have types that if I can only have so much stuff, I favor, but I collect everything. Life size, PF(1/4), 1/6, dios, maquettes, props. If it's from a property I like, I'm happy with how the piece looks, and I can afford it, I get it.

I have all the above as well, I'm just worried about it looking like hodgepodge once I get it all setup :monkey3

That's how I collect too, whatever I like, I get, and I liked this, so I got it. I think the trick is just keeping everythjing organized, and seperated, otherwise it will look like a mess.

That being said, I just got him here at work, took him out during lunch, and he's fantastic! Not much to be said that others haven't. Only two issues, I've got the loose button thing going. Any suggestions for the best glue to fix this? Super? And his elbow joints are stiff as hell, can't even bend them. Any suggestions for that?

Well, I would assume in theory, your display would have some sort of unity within it, like a Star Wars area, a Marvel area, and within those, a range of products types would look fine.

This is my Darth Maul display, 3 types of products in one area, but they all go together so it looks fine.

Got a question though.

Does his face really look like this (detail freckles) or is it touched up a bit?

(hard to tell from other pics)

It varies depending on the lighting, but yes, HT's paint apps have really gotten into some minute weathering and deatiling, the flesh work on both John Connors, Marcus Wright and Wolverine is really impressive.

Sometimes in photos it can almost look sickly because of the contrast the camera picks up, but the overally effect of the figures is just beautiful work.

Well, HT's come a long way in 2009 in my book. Their portraits have always looked nice, but with the Terminator Salvation line and now Wolverine, I'm finding they're really pulling out some great, subtle effects with their human paint jobs. All 4 portraits I mentioned just really look more impressive than others for paint because of the craftsmanship in them.

Hot Toys is reaching a point where production figures are coming out with work put into them that at one point required a customizer with the ability to focus on one figure for however long it took to achieve these things and they're getting it in mass production.

It really goes a long way in the realsim of these figures if the clothes and skin don't look all polished and perfect and have a worn, fuctional look to them, which they've been doing.
