Ok, some of you might find this disappointed as this is really an alien but not THE alien......

No worries with the joints as HT seems uses different kind of joints similar to those from Enterbay figure.

Paints apps. were fair but not too Giger kinda style though (IMO), the only thing I'm disappointed was the dome head were less transparent compares to 1/4 statue.

Love the figure base as well as the background card board.....

They should rename it the "Big Chin" Alien.

But...

The jaw/chin still look wrong, of course, and the slope of the dome/forehead is not high enough. And it's a HUGE disappointment to see that the tongue is not only too small but also painted dark, not yucky white like it's supposed to be!!!

Does the mouth close? Meaning, do the teeth meet? When I think of the Alien I always think of that nasty 'grin' of teeth it had.

The partly open mouth doesn't complete me.

nope. it has the same jacked up mouth the other aliens have had so far.
and probably because of the stupid inner jaw action feature.

I'd really like to "fix" that myself. I'd prefer a teeth-baring alien than having the extending tongue option now that I see it.

Dear lord, Hot Toys didn't fix anything from the prototype. Never thought I'd see the day when Medicom and Neca produced a far more accurate product than Hot Toys. They suck at making Aliens period.

It's too bad that it's not entirely accurate, but thankfully I'm ok with that. Definite purchase for me.

Maybe it has a few inacuraties but i think that is an awesome figure. Nothing like the Aliens "Jurassik park" figure.
