I knew you would get a kick out of that.

Maybe the figure utilizes different flexible materials for certain parts of the body? We've read that the body doesn't use the same rubber previously used on the older HT xenos, but looking at how the mouth opens, everything from the base of the neck up to the edge of the dome could be the old rubber material.
I'd like to know exactly what material the suit is made of. Vinyl?
Looks like the chest/ribcage is made of a harder material (plastic).
I'm really intrigued by this photo, I can't understand why there's a separation of neck and shoulders, every past HT Alien, as far as I know, has smoothly ran from head into body.
i really don't see why NECA can't make 1:6 aliens. nobody collects 18" scale anyway. Not a bad turn out for this figure compared to the proto, but that mouth is just terrible. Probably one of the most prominent of Big Chap's features, and they didn't capture it at all. They should have done something closer to what NECA did. NECA nailed it. Would have been nice on a figure this scale.
Easy pass. Sideshow maquette all the way for me, I think.
yeah. that was totally off too.Hmmm looks like the Big Chap face/mouth is the same as the Alien 3...

that's a shame. although, the medicom figure looks more like 1:8 scale.Their license may be limited to 7" and 18" because of Medicom and HT having 1/6 rights.
VERY poor sculpt. End product looks nasty.......... YUCK HT!! YUCK!

They had to take artistic licence. There just wasn't enough reference material.

We're selling a lot of figures at 18 inches of the Alien still. I'd like to see us do it 14 but the boss has to say yes. It would cost 35 grand to make a new tool for it. With NECA it seems things find a way in due time. I think we have the rights for 14 inch Alien if we would want to make it. For me it would be great to go back and sculpt in the detail under the dome. Since I did my sculpt I've learned more about the Alien and would love to impove it some. HT took the easy way really. It does take for ever to sculpt the Alien right.
while you're at it - i'd like to see an A3 dog that actually looks like the movie. We're selling a lot of figures at 18 inches of the Alien still.
