Yep, the Marmit is the best I've seen, dome wise. Why couldn't HT simply use that as a Sculpt template?

I guess they may for the V2 if they do one and they NEED to do one to redeem themselves IMO.

But the HT V1 = HT Joker V1 to me. It needs a serious Makeover.

you know what, now that you mention it - why didn't HT just use a more accurate statue/model to make the head?
as i recall, didn't they use a Palisades bust to make Kane's face hugger head? correct me if i'm wrong, but they look identical to me.

predanator tried to prove that he is superior to his internet betters by claiming to be an aerospace engineer. which is totally absurd given his behavior here.
it's a tactic commonly used by forum trolls in an attempt to seem more successful/sophisticated than those who the troll is losing an argument to.
personally, i think it's hilarious and i can't wait to see what story he cooks up next.

When will Sideshow get these to ship. I used rewards points, so hopefully I'm being an adult about my collecting habit since I'm getting the big chap for $35.

Looking forward to him, and I also don't see any problem with displaying many scales together. I have the Medicom, and love it, although the arm arrived to me separated beneath the rubber skin and I still have not found time to fix it. I also have the HCG 1:1 on the way, so what's the big deal about scale. I love all my Alien statues and figures. Although, I do want the scale of the Hot Toys big chap to match up with my Kane and Dallas of course, but that goes without saying.

Pretty excited to see this guy ship. Come on, when?

My Medicom Alien has a permanent 'stoop' to it ... The internal skeleton is slightly too big for the outer suit.

Just looking at the medi again, and he really is awesome. I've got to find the time over the holiday to fix his broken arm, and possible glue the fingers to be more representative of the film suit version. I really don't like all six fingers splayed out like that.

Any suggestions on what type of glue or adhesive to use for the fingers?

That's very odd, could you post pics?

@furystorm: dude, that sucks! Couldn't you return it? I've been taking a closer look at he Medi-alien, and it seems the ribcage should be easy to take off in order to get to the underlying suit to try to fix the broken arm.
Anyway, I hope you can fix it.

suit yourself. but, this figure isn't really 1:6 either. just look at the comparison pics.
it is noticeably smaller than all of the ht aliens so far. when it should, if anything, be a little bigger.
i'd say ht's closer to 1:7 scale than 1:6. the medicom figure is closer to 1:8.
