Oil/liquid on the harness is most likely transfered over from the vest. The PVC-like material of the harness is unlikely to deteriorate.

The only reason why I wonder if this is not the case because in a few cases with mine I noticed that the harness had oil in places where there was not the slightest bit of oil on the shirt underneath. Like the front bottom of the harness where it was not even touching anything, in fact I wonder if the harness is the problem and not the shirt?

but thats what I'm saying if one shows signs of oil and not the other it makes sense that the part without oil on it is the thing that's affected and not causing the problem?

About 5-6 places on the harness had oil spots and the only place showing signs on my shirt are the shoulders area.

So the harness is not leaking?
It's the contact with the latex of the muscular body, that makes the vest leak and then the harness?

Guys would love to see pics of your Comedian on a regular TT Body. Thanks!

Not a perfect replacement but I just initially wanted his rubber body and getting the rest was just a bonus. Have you thought of using silicone instead of rubber? The body is actually a little narrow for the suit and leaves gaps but the rubber is rigid enough to hide it.

As for the dX dark knight, why was the leak only appearing on the upper body and not the legs?

That's not what you said. This is:

Comedian's become somewhat of an epidemic given most everybody who's gone to check theirs has noticed this issue. Hardly the random occasion of a single person or even a handful. And then there's this:

Which, quite ignorantly, doesn't explain the poor guy whose figure was leaking right out of the box and ridicules everybody who's discovered leaking on figures they've owned for a while as putting "it on a window seal" or playing with their toys like an "8 year old."

Seriously on the 2nd quote you are taking that way out of context to the original poster. Very clever though. But hey I like now that you are siding with the poor guy who just previously you were putting down for reading comprehension skills and communicating ways to fix it.

My comment to Raymond still stands. He's ignoring several constructive posts about the figure. You on the other hand, are trying to score points with people you were belittling in the thread in General Collectibles. Nothing was taken out of context. Your opinion about everybody in this thread, which you've stated ad nauseum in the other thread is that this issue isn't as common as everybody thinks, we're all blowing this way out of proportion, and the reason everybody's experiencing this is because they can't take care of their figures. Because god forbid your all mighty Hot Toys actually ____ed up, right?

PRECISIONS ABOUT THE REPLACEMENT.
Kingrayskull you are wrong, please don't spread this info about a rigid replacement.
A quick read of the first post of the interest Thread will clear up your mind if it needs to.
The replacement material has not been decided yet!
"Hard" (like USCM armor) of soft material (like the original HT suit).
Both options could be probably be offered.
It's more about what people wants.
I was asking for opinions about what vesrion you guys would prefer.
Sound your voice on the replacement thread.
Thanks.

Ok, sorry. To be honest I have stopped reading your interest thread when I have learned about the price.
Anyway this still makes two nice replacements in the end. Always good to have options and I am pretty sure that they will both turn out great. :) :duff

You have no excuses for not remembreing everything that I post on the whole board! ;)
As for the replacement availibility t have yet to receive my replacement Comedian Figure.
I hope i will this week and the sculptor will probably start next.

As for the price i'm trying to push for the lowest possible, all will depends on the material used.
I rather give a high price then have it lowered (wich will probably be the case) than the opposite

Thanks AmusedJester for the pic ^^
I'm waiting to see if the ACI flamma gladiator could be a good substitute for the HT latex muscle body. Proved that it's a reaction caused by the vest on the latex body, or that the ACI body is hard plastic... ^^

Yet another solid reason why statues > figures. :lectures

God forbid the almighty hot toys have issues just like every other company in this hobby!! :lol Just because Hot toys make good products, do you guys forget that ALL of this ____ is made in china or taiwan, etc?? Maybe they didnt use enough lead in the rubber, that's why it wets the bed.

Why does every thread has to turn into an "US VS THEM" thingie.
I've never been interested in statues, never went into one of those thread to mock the bad sculpt, bad painting or prices.
To each it's own ^^

Statue "exclusive" collectors suffer from small peepee syndrome and feel compelled to justify their elitism with all these 1/6 figures coming out and looking better than their 1/4 counterparts.

Statue collectors have bigger peepees than wanna-be soldiers playing with plastic ammunition and playing make believe in the bushes. :lol

All im saying between the lines is with figures, you're paying hundreds of dollars for plastic and rubber and you guys freak out when stuff deteriorates? you seriously expect rubber bodies or plastic to last? Like i said, not enough lead in them so the quality went down. :lol

Keep dreaming fry guy. :lol

As opposed to paying close to a grand to have a bust's paint flake off? Or a jacket peel? Or a likeness that has more in common with the Gieco Caveman than the Terminator Actor he's supposed to portray? I think even Medi did a better job on Cyclops bro. :lol :wave

If you took a sec to read instead of just pop in to troll you'd understand. It's not that people don't expect it to deteriorate, it's that there're QC issues and the figures are falling apart faster than they should be. 10-20 years down the road, fine. We're talking less than a year. Beit an action figure or a statue, that's some ____ed up ____ right there.
