get you fact straight.cameron was originally hired as the fx guy for piranha2. someone else was already directing the film. when he left, cameron took over. the crew spoke no english, the producer got the final say on everything, and cameron was not allowed to see his footage nor allowed to enter the editing room.

the only time cameron's let loose and allowed to be free, the result was the first terminator film. and that film is still a million times better than mcg's last hackjob.

I don't care if Cameron was on the set for five minutes, he was still credited for directing the Piranha 2. "Get you fact straight"

He directed it for two weeks....I really dont think that counts.

If the shoot was for 3-4 weeks, then directing 2.5 weeks of it is substantial. That was an extremely low-budget film, not some 8-12 week studio pic.

But hey, a guy's got to cut his teeth somewhere. Does Cameron take credit for Galaxy of Terror?
