Given that Hot Toys were involved with the development of the Sideshow Hobbits (Frodo and Sam), does anyone think there is a chance of a T2 John Conner using that body??

You not peeved about the amount of blood on the endo arm? I know it bugged you with the neca.

I haven't really been focussed on that now that you mention it. I'll go back and look at pics of it but since it didn't scream at me its probably not as extreme as on the 7" neca. And on that I was also disappointed by the loss of sculpted detail from the 2up down to the mass produced figure.

Come to think of it whatever paint is used on the endo arm with this figure is likely to be the same as will be used for the exposed endo-parts on the future battle damaged figure...meaning not chrome :monkey2 Oh well.

-edit- Ok I looked back at pics of the endo-arm (https://www.toy-world.com.hk/forum/viewthread.php?tid=2775&extra=&page=144) - there probably is a bit too much blood but its more realistically applied than it was on the neca - that was loads of blobs of blood so densely painted on that you could see virtually no silver coming through from the endo-arm. The neca man or machine 2up was fantastic and had the gore exactly right, including sculpted fleshy tendons still attached but none of that translated to the final figure which was a big let down for me at the time.

I'll be displaying one of my 2 like that - I'm gonna go for a closed fist though as my little custom neca figure has palm outstretched.

:lol I pictured you saying that as Will Ferrell. I do have a lady actually, yes she thinks I'm insane.

Oops, I totally forgot to add the lecture smilie. Stupid iPhone. Good thing you have a sense of humor.

I just think if they didn't put enough blood it may end up being unnoticeable. Does anyone know if the wrist has articulation? (endo arm) I'd love to pose him with hand palm facing out like as in the scene with Dyson.

Very nice figure

Only two things bother me.
1st I think the legs are a little too long.

2nd I find it a pity that in his jacket has no bullet holes.
This detail was not forgotten by Neca.

Legs look fine.

And I am glad they did not put bullet holes in the jacket. Would not be acurate to him walking around the mall with the rose box. Not like they are hard to put in yourself.

After sideshow gets them.

And it's funny, since it is Sideshows license, they should have got the figures before anyone else.

9mm in 1/6 scale = 1.5mm
Just use a 1.5mm drill... Problem solved.
If the jacket will sell for a good price on E-bay i might do just that...

Actually Hot Toys factories are also in China. The biggest two factors are like MF mentioned the constant supervision by the artists themselves and QC. There are success stories in China and they are all created through migrating western mentality of quality and control through bringing staff from the head office into key positions on these Chinese factories. Hong Kong offices just have it a little easier by just travelling there on a weekly basis and that's what a lot of HK companies do.
Also many of the successful Chinese companies all started out like that. There are now many that have been influenced by the modern western drive for quality and standards but theme there are also the many inexperienced that just hack things together to make a quick buck as it has prooven to make money.

All that is true, but still most stuff that has been moved to China is ____. Take Carl Zeiss for Example, they are world known for their lenses and optics. But in most new consumer products that state that they have Zeiss optics are made in China, and not Sweden, and the difference in quality is huge.
