........

I'm not quite a one post wonder,

I was referring the fact that you have posted one thread since you have joined this forum.

I posted several threads but thanks to a few individuals they turn it flame wars and I have very little time for such foolishness, but it’s fun to poke back once in a while.

Their behavior has zero affect on me, I will buy or build what I want, however it does affect other members of this forum.

On forums where adults interact I provide very valuable services such as parts and kits and build information.

Normally I would post a thread explaining how I built these crates with a tutorial full of pictures and descriptions. I might have even offered up pre-cut kits for next to nothing and fully assembled crates at a great price.

BUT I know the trolls will destroy the thread so the best this forum will get is this:

These are hand made wood crates built in a military embark box configuration. The graphics were applies using the clear lacquer paint transfer method

Yet you posted this long rant - yep, you care :1-1:

Is this your e-Harmony bio? Regardless, none of this has anything to do with Marvel.

Oh good, I was wondering when you'd start insulting people again and it took 5 sentences this time, you didn't disappoint.

The guy bragging he's a mover, a shaker, a baker, etc is calling other people 'narcissists' :lol You can't make this stuff up folks!

Not really. Hulkbuster is a dream concept for most Iron Man collectors so the fact that it was teased less than a week ago to be in the Avengers 2 film has Iron Man fans talking about it.

And in case you didn't notice, the Marvel section has a staggering Iron Man following.

Wouldn't know about Twitter - don't care either. Irrelevant.

It doesn't matter how old you are or what you collected while you were a snot nosed kid who's grown into a snot nosed adult.

Get this through your thick skull: you are no better than any other member here. Got it? Good.

Joke of the day material right there.

You're either starting pointless thread like, "Should I buy the Iron Man panties on sale at Walmart?" or you're insulting people. End of story.

It’s funny how people that wish they had value enjoy insulting those that do. You have been on this forum for about 3 years and have close to 12K posts. I have been a member of the RPF since 2000 and just over half that amount and my posts have helped countless members.

I never think I’m BETTER then most people but I do know that I’m better then a couple members of this forum. To think that one human can not be better then another is a childish and naïve belief, when you grow up you’ll realize that.

BTW: Stop depending on hyperbole - example claiming I start threads like this: "Should I buy the Iron Man panties on sale at Walmart?". An imbecile resorts to that when their argument has very little substance.

Yeah I tend not to start threads because someone else usually beats me to it with anything worth putting up or I can find what want by searching. I'm not a customiser or anything, I don't have the time for it (I would love to) so I have no awesome creations to share.

I do really like those crates though, the stencil work looks great.

I seriously dnt see how belittling eachother solves anything.

Personally what I have observed, when it comes down to it, THIS forum is very care free and openly talks about any subject at any given time. Its the type of forum that the admins and mods have envisioned it to be.

If you dont like it, go somewhere else or start your own forum/blog. It wouldnt be the first time I've seen a group of ppl leave to start their own forum since the forum they were at wasn't right for them.

It's amusing how you pretty much ignored everything I stated and just ramble on about your time over at another forum.

You can change the text style to 'Verdana', change the colors & enlarge the font size larger to compensate for your hollow post (as well as other things one can only imagine), but it won't fly here.

Nobody cares about your time on any other forum.

Nice try twisting my words, but you fail. I said you are no better than any other member here.

But, I'll go further and say you are on the shallow end of the gene pool and it's looking like it needs a little chlorine down there. :wave

This is what kills me. Calling members of this forum children is condescending and assuming your posts provide some sort of invaluable service (as if no one else creates custom items) is unbelievably narcissistic. Then, you act like a petulant child not wanting to share his toys by stating what you COULD do but WON'T because you don't feel that the members if this forum kiss your *** enough.

This forum is a community that, for the most part, is positive and informative. There are plenty of members that provide information and services here without requiring other members to act according to whatever ******** rules of conduct YOU think they should. There are always going to be people that go against the grain and cause drama but they are in the minority. Negative and broad generalizations against the members and moderators here has placed you among that minority IMO.

The sad thing is that you seem to be talented and could contribute positively to this forum if you just didn't make it seem like you were doing all of us a damn favor by sharing your work and opinion. Come down off your ****ing high horse and join the conversation instead of looking down your elitist nose at the unwashed masses.

I can understand that the way some people treat members on this forum can be intimidating but there is no reason to think that you have nothing to post.

It took 27 years for someone to finally identify the actual item used for the Han Solo ANH Blaster Flash Hider and if that forum acted like this one I doubt he would have every took the time to post his info.

If you have a question post it, if you have an idea, post it. Maybe some day content will out weight the fodder and this forum will live up to it's potential

Thank you for the compliment on the stenciling, it is very easy to do and these crates were my first attempt. I goggled the subject and followed the info.

One thing I dislike about this forum is how much crap clutters up threads and feel like an ***** even posting replies like this so I try to make balance the equilibrium by including on topic info

Here are some close up pics of my Tool Box and tools. The Box is a Snap On Die Cast Bank that is very detailed and came with the 6 die cast tools on the left side of the second picture.

The other tools came with Tony except for the cordless drill which I found on eBay

I don’t call EVERYONE on this forum a child but several of the people that follow me around do act like children and THEY create the environment in which I choose not to share my toys.

And if you think this forum is a community you’re living in a fantasy.

This forum is so huge and overrun that it has no choice but to be a collection of cliches.

I don’t now how long it took to get this way but normally when online communities out grow what made them awesome, this is what you get.

The only reason this place still runs is because if you have the time you can glean a tiny bit of useful info.

Your right, I am very talented and resourceful. But your wrong in that I don’t think my posts are nay more important then the other posts (that have substance).

I work 70 hours a week, on the biggest freaking helicopter in the Marine Corps inventory, so excuse me if I don’t feel like taking the time to create long and complicated threads about what I build, oh wait I did that and no one really cared until the drama started.

So for now, I will enjoy the view from my high horse.

Sorry Boba, I don't follow you around and all, but here in this thread, you kinda started this drama when you said nothing stayed on topic and bashed the members and mods. Just my observation

And to keep my post mildly on topic ima post this:

Congratulations! You have succeeded in feeding into the cliche mentality by becoming one yourself. You think you are the only person who works? Who cares if you work on helicopters or clean toilets? People have jobs, kids, school, health issues, money issues, etc. that take time away from this forum and they are still capable of contributing to this forum without being negative. The quantity of words in a post has nothing to do with it's quality. You have plenty of time to post insults and holier-than-thou comments so don't tell me that you couldn't post your process for making crates. Instead of just offering the information you wait until someone comments about how they would like to have them, you make an excuse about being busy so you won't share, then post a tease about how you would do it for cheap but you're not appreciated enough. Personally, I'd love to have a few. They seem to be well made and look to scale. Like I said, you SEEM to be talented. However, you are not the only person that can make a crate. There are insanely talented people on this forum and they won't make other members jump through hoops.

I would never tell someone to leave the forum but I do think you are trying to fit a square peg in a round hole with your current method of participating here. This forum IS a community and as such there are rules as well as a group-defined conduct. If you would get off your high-horse (that I now know you're mind-boggling proud of) you would see that there are ways to contribute positively without reverting to some immature teenage I-know-everything attitude. A couple posts before this you showed your toolbox and explained it in 2 sentences--a perfectly helpful post that was marred by the ******** you put before it. I would suggest that you do more of the 2 sentence helpful posts and less of the ******** and you'll have a much easier time here.

:lol Still plenty of time to author patronising passive-aggressive posts though. Maybe that helicopter could stand to be a foot longer.

Twitter Crowd, can't comprehend anything over 140 characters.

You seem inexperienced about what it takes to create online tutorials so let me school you. TIME, Time and more time.

Taking pictures and creating processes that are easily understandable is not as simple as explaining life to a child such as yourself. As for me mentioning what I do for a living.

I only stated that I work on the largest helicopter because its parts are proportional, such as the 70 pound radio I have to hold over my head as I climb a ladder to install it.

It is a great job but it's not for the physically or mentally weak person. I actually declined to work over time today and enjoyed my day off. I used it to catch up on my hobbies and decided to catch up on the forums.

Checking in on this one was a great idea, total worth the time I have spent here.

Can you taste the contempt in that last statement?

Could I post how I created the crates, yes. Will I waste my time creating a thread that will devolve into a flame fest, NO

Your insults and condescension don't make you smarter or better than me or anyone else on this forum. They do, however, prove your immaturity and lack of basic social skills. I have tried to help you navigate this forum in a way in which you do not further alienate yourself but can't help you if you don't listen. You don't know my age, profession, or history yet make assumptions based on facts you have made up in your head. I would bet you haven't bothered to learn anything about any of the people in this forum. You are effectively outside this community trying rise above it because you will not lower yourself to be a part of it. You seem to be more concerned with trying to prove you have more worth here than other members. As of yet you have proven nothing of the sort.

You say you declined overtime hours to enjoy your day off and be on this forum. Are you implying we owe you something for your sacrifice? How about I teach you a method for creating tutorials that will not take up the insane amount of time you imply it will? I could do it and not treat you like a child as I explain and walk you through it. Do you know how? It starts with not assuming everyone is an *****.

If you are going to participate in this forum you need to understand that, just like in life, there are members smarter than you, more creative than you, and more talented than you. It doesn't mean you don't have anything to contribute, but you are in no way the smartest, most creative, most talented person here--and that's ok. Take the knowledge that you can learn from someone else and make yourself better. Also, share what you know--just don't be a **** about it.

Robot Jox FTW! :rock:rotfl

I'd say this and Pacific Rim were probably on the same level of entertainment value. :lol

I think my primary problem with the "Monsters versus Robots" movie was that there had to be two pilots to drive the robots, and those pilots' minds had to be totally in sync for the *magic* to work.
I just hate those weird plot contrivances in movies where they hammer you over the head early on with "Here are the RULES, and they CANNOT be broken under ANY circumstances!!!"
Then the hero breaks the rules and it's totally fine.
It had thought watching the movie it would have been better if there were twenty people in the "head" of the robot, all doing jobs to keep it running, and a few of them were taken out, so the pilot had to do without the weapons officers or something, or on reduced power.
It was just a thought.

"Are you implying we owe you something for your sacrifice"

No, I'm not implying that at all.

I declined over time so I could spend time with my family, catching up with my hobbies and visiting this forum were only a very small part of what I did today.

"I have tried to help you navigate this forum in a way in which you do not further alienate yourself but can't help you if you don't listen."

Now who is being condescending? You think jumping on the troll band wagon is helping me navigate this forum?

Your first comment toward me was "^^ Oh god...here we go. Boba Debt making friends by insulting forum members AND mods. "

Yep, that was real instructive, did you learn that in college?

Maybe you should spend more time helping Y4NK and less time on me, HIS insult ("Posting advice from resident thread spammer :lol) started this drama yet you are completely silent about it.

I have not posted a single thing that could be construed as spam by any normal forum standard but that doesn't matter to people like YOU

BTW: forums are nothing like life, anonymity and distance give people way more courage then they could muster in real life.

Ugh, I'm over this. You switch from narcissist to martyr when you're faced with someone with intelligence. The issues you have with members here are because of your attitude NOT this forum. People have tried to help you assimilate but you like going against the grain. You don't want to listen to advice. You don't want to make friends. You insulted people here and said the mods weren't doing their jobs. You want to limit what people say but seem to like judging them for the same. I'm sure you are great at fixing the biggest helicopter in the Marines, but you are not a good participant in this forum. Sometimes things don't work out and it's nobody's fault. Well, in this case it is your fault so I'm breaking up with you and taking Sideshow Freaks in the divorce. You didn't really care about it anyway. ;)

It's a cool idea, I just couldn't believe they actually put the cockpit in the head in the first place. :slap
